Old school fighting games were far more merciless. I do miss how people appreciated people pulling off cool shit like this. I mean Idom hit him with two overheads in that sequence. That was two chances he missed to block. Once Makato gets going you are not getting a chance to block. You are going to get dizzied, you are going to hold that L, and you are going like it.

None of this is true. Ive played multiple netcodes in multitudes of regions across multiple types of internet. 4 frames of lag is unplaybale compared to offline feel and the lag meter is often wrong anywys. Sg netcode is by far the best. Ive played people across the world. Im in australia but i had playing partners in s korea. Thats impossible for any asw game. The input lag would be like 15 frames or more.

Laura is what G should have been: trash outside V-Trigger. I hate Laura with passionate passion but G is definitely the dumbest piece of crap in the game right now.

Trouble with SF5 new characters is they all feel shit right off the bat - you need a few weeks to get in the groove. I feel like it really boils down to if your forward moving specials are plus or not or do you have some sort of bullshit Ex move.
For example Sakura I think has very good buttons, very good walk speed, everyone mostly agreed that Sakura is just “decent”. She doesnt really have a bullshit ex and if you want any kind of pressure you’re Gona have to give it up as soon as you finish your string. So it’s not a footsies thing for me. Cammy also has excellent footsies.
Basically I think right off the bat If Fei Longs EX CW or Rekka is plus on block ( and ridiculous fast) there’s a good chance he can be good. On top of that some kind of damage extender.
Remember Fei has a grab , so if you can EX Rekka or CW into +3 with a command grab…salt will flow like the rivers of Babylon.
You know he’s Gona have a bullshit dash too.
Hopefully he makes G look like ed. I’ve been waiting since season 2 to get my hands on someone so brain dead I can do evil laughs as M Bison mains crumble.

If he’s in, they’ll strip his fireball invincibility from normal CW and give that property to EX only. I honestly wouldn’t want to see Fei in this engine. His normals are getting cut in half for sure.

Gats problem isn’t so much the stubby , it’s the speed. So stubby and fast is still acceptable.
I mean it’s sf5 , if they do trigger his rekkas , it’s possible he might get a Balrog esk Rekka series, throw in a 50/50 command grab in the middle …
I can see potential. Not every character starts off shit. Blanks was pretty good.

The game is already fucking dry.
The problem is not that the strong chars are strong, the problem is that everyone is lacking so much their tools that chars that are just solid feel “op” in comparision to the rest that are struggling.

Running another TWT dojo event today. A bunch of solid players from Sweden and Denmark have shown up. Shit’s gonna be lit.
I’m a bit sad so few of the actual norwegian top players showed up, but that keeps things exciting.
