SFV Lounge: I'm still alive. Sakura's alt is kinda cute

There are a few simple changes that would make online play much better in sfv:

  • add region filter
  • make 100% sure that console won’t drop frames (remove people from background if needed)
  • don’t try to sync backgrounds, nobody cares about that anyway

Decapre is a solid bet too.

I can’t decide if that would be a good idea to actually implement or not, considering that some characters have chip moves/strings that would knock you out if you block at 10% life. Maybe with some rebalancing but unist feels tense as it is already

also play me in unist bro, I wanna see the power of old man fundies in an anime game

So if I play 22 ranked matches a day, I’ll have about as many games as Doctrine’s played within a year and will be just as powerful

Clearly that’s all that goes into this and nothing further must be considered

Lol I don’t know what characters do yet.

Watch notes carmine and see all the grimy shit that character can do. I’ve never played any unib games but some of his setups look ridiculous

What better way to learn than to see it live lol
what characters catch your eye though, out of curiousity

I think thats just the power of notes, carmine players I know be watching him and are like “i dont even know how to copy that setup”

I disagree on the ASW Netcode, not so much because it’s Input Delay but because ASW specifically builds their games around the fact that the Netcode is subpar. I’ll agree that the game doesn’t feel awful online…but that’s because they developed the game specifically so the offline would feel similar to an online connection, rather than vice versa. That’s my point of contention with all of ASW’s offerings.

Yeah, I’ll probably cop it I guess.

Some Tekken characters, and female versions of some SNK characters why…

SNK seems to be doing this lately. They started this with SNK Heroines. Side note: Why is female Chang the size of Choi?

True, but I’ll be doing the bummest ABC psuedo launcher jc abc special combos.

As far as characters, a lot of the BBTag crew minus the shotos. Hyde doesnt really interest me all that much but he has solid tools (or seems like it). I like Merkava but probably wont gel with him properly.

Hilda and Vatista seem dope too. Now that I actually messed around with it, lots of characters look dope. Carmine, Seth, Waldstein.

Gonna goof around a lot just to see. Wish I had locals now. :sob:

Because she is a petit type char.
Is a common trope that when a big man is turned into a girl, he becomes a petit/loli.

Dont ask me why.

Cause gender swap waifus are top tier.

Seth and Vatista are high execution chars. They are also high tier last time i checked.
Waldstein is fucking dope (i main him)
Hilda is also good.

Carmine is a strong char right now, and if you like the type of chars that have to keep tabs on their resources, he can be right in your alley.

Capcom also did that with Anakaris in SFV lol

What are the 3 characters you are expecting in SFV? (Not wishlist but expectation, so it includes the character that you didn’t to see in SFV)

Who believes that were getting 5 characters instead of less than 5?

sigh. The inherent input delay in FGs didn’t start with SFV or even with the current generation of consoles that developers like to blame. It started all the way back with Blazblue CT. They’re the ones who started the trend specifically to hide a bit of the underwater feel that input delay tends to provide. It allows more leniency into latency issues. Sad part is that it’s not even a lazy fix or anything, you obviously need to put in a ton of effort to make it work. I just wish the effort was put into the netcode itself.
