Some people catch feelings on some of those. But basically all of that is irrelevant shit on SRK and for the vast majority of the FGC. It also helps that SRK has been multi-ethnic for an eternity and a half. SRK had so many minorities for its lifetime that the prevailing wisdom was, until like last year, that on SRK you were black until proven otherwise.
SRK had gay threads for years, SRK had threads to get to know a black guy, get to know white people etc. We’ve had all sorts of religions and ethnicity hurl insults at one another over some shit or other at any point in time. The overwhelming amount of that basically good natured ribbing.
No pun intended, but people here care about you the person, not you the stat sheet. As long as your here to play fighting games, everything else is mostly that bullshit you were born into.

When you got one dude on the street most of the street has a problem with and then good dudes on the street start moving out, you might want to just deal with that one guy instead of fucking your entire street because of whatever moral stance youve got.
Also maybe online can be bad for kids, but it’s no where near as bad as the racist fuck heads that littered real life when i was young. At least people get called out now.
There is quite literally no better time to be a human being than right now and it’ll only get better.
Disclaimer: I live in a sensible country though so there is that. Pregnant women aren’t getting guns pointed at them etc.

Comparing stuff to before doesn’t seem to be too helpful. Puberty + Social Media is its own beast with its own set of issues. In general things are a lot better for kids in a lot of ways, that much you’re absolutely right. If you’re on the LGBT+ spectrum, things are super nice for you right now. Kids in school aren’t really caring if your gay in any multitude of ways.
The effect social media is having is akin to a always on 24/7 slam book. When people do positive things with the effects are amplified. But when people go after somebody its similarly amplified. That type of situation in the hands of humans that basically can’t think ahead because their frontal lobes aren’t going to be formed for another 10 years is turning out to be a super dicey situation.

Not sure it is. I got bullied at school , also had some mates, shit happens. I agree that social media can be challenging, but I’d imagine its doing more good than evil.
Imagine going through a shit ass day getting bullied at school only to come home to tons of buddies online sharing cool interests that the people at your school don’t. Now imagine not having the internet on that day, sittting playing on your own ( not online) on a game. Shit life. Fuck it, the kids don’t know what they got these days.

Imagine coming home and googling your school homework and projects instead of sitting in a library for half a day trying to find material. Fuck me lol. You can put anything in google and get the answer.

I asked my boss if I could work from home for a couple of hours, since we’ve got a delivery we need to pick up and my wife, who was initially supposed to work from home today, had a crisis at work that she needed to handle. Initially I was told no. Then my boss changed her answer and said it was fine, as long as I made a report (on a data set nobody had wanted or asked for) so that “she knew I wad working”.
Sigh. I want a new job.

Eventhubs published an article about Akuma nerfs. Here is what they would change:
- Make cr.FP 12 frame move that is -1 on block and make it so that he cannot get a heavy after CC
- Make air fireball frame data worse (by adding 3f to it)
I don’t like these, but at-least they did not ask for health nerfs.
I think that they are not that good at this game if they are writing stuff like:
“Like the majority of the cast, I think he should get only a medium here, which wouldn’t be all that bad for Akuma considering what he can do after a standing forward or crouching strong.” (opponent is in airborne state after the dash, so cr.MP would not work at all)
"Ready opponents with an upward-moving invincible reversal can simply zip through the fireball, but characters like F.A.N.G or Balrog often find themselves simply having to hold it all. (Balrog having to take the fireball

Damn, that sucks.
I don’t know why people assume because people work from home that they get less done. I work from home more often than not, and while, yeah, there are times I kinda slack off (yesterday being a good example, still worked like 6 hours though), the vast majority of the time, I get so much more done at home than I could in the office.
In the office, everyone chit chats with everyone. You walk by someone’s office and talk for 5-10 minutes. The people in the open desk areas (like me) are constantly talking the whole time (either on the phones or to each other) and it’s terribly distracting. At home, there are few distractions and I can just power through things. I reckon when I work in the office, I typically only work for 6 hours as well.

That’s more or less what I mean.
In particular, the “just get thicker skin” when it comes to online toxic assholes on something like XBL just leads to the whole system getting worse, like @FlyingVe pointed out; people just stop using voice chat all together and the worst of the lot keep being the worst of the lot with the…other…worst of the lot, I guess. The worst you can do is just ban them, which won’t teach them anything…and people having to hear all the garbage isn’t really teaching anything either, at worst as I mentioned, other people may feel more inclined to act the same way (or fire back, which may make for a funny story but not a better chat environment).
Basically I think better regulating XBL’s live chat is fine. It’s not a case of being soft. It’s like everyone here wanting Cipher gone, just wanna make the environment better~
Better ways of communicating + lack of consequences. That last part being the key problem.
Can’t be like you and just go downstairs and give Frost a swift kick in the ass if he starts acting up
