SFV Lounge: Cammy at the Falken bottom, Makoto is in final phases, Leo Alex is broken

That’s a dumb myth actually, every single body needs a different amount of daily calories, 2000 is a very gross average number that came out of the fact that the actual average they calculated of 2350 was not a nice and easy number to remember. And anyway, as I already said, it’s bullshit

I did say “closer” for a reason~

The lower blood pressure and cholesterol are the key factors there. Weight loss is great too but just because someone is in decent to good physical shape doesn’t mean that those invisible factors don’t make you a time bomb.

I had one of those wake up moments when my martial arts teacher almost cancelled our recent belt test due to a heart attack. Dude is in great physical shape and under 50 but there is no accounting for genetics and shit like that. Thankfully he is old school Turkish so nearly unstoppable but it reminded me to keep my shit in check.

I was gonna say if I did 20 pushups every time I lost a game I’d be so goddamn swole I couldn’t even handle a controller. I’d snap that shit like Bea does just trying to dash.

Just do squats, lunges and deadlifts every 5 games to unwind.
Deadlifting at least 150 pounds for a few reps surely helps getting the salt from the game away.
Or push ups, curls and military presses on alternated days because doing leg day every day isn’t a good idea.

I also suggest knitting!

I can barely lift 50 right now :frowning:

Start with 10kg weights, or maybe 8kg

Damn LW is taller than me…:anguished:

Surely you can’t be telling me that you can’t deadlift meagre 150 pounds/70 KGs…

What is that in American?

I need all my weights translated into a rough equivalent of bald eagles/# of border wall bricks.

Not even close. I’m about as un-manly as you can get currently XP

No idea about eagles but 10kg is the same as two fell fed, but not overweight, cats.

At least I tell our cat he’s not overweight. You never know how he’s gonna take it.

I have two cats that may be a little saggy but are probably close enough to give me an idea. Thanks!

I’ll start curling them when I lose matches.

my dog is kinda fat but healthy enough to live a comfy life, we can’t not feed her when she sits and gives the puppy eyes.

Fine ;_; just have some of my food for sitting nicely

10 KGs is about 22.3 pounds.

That’s kind of perfect actually. If you want to start lifting, you work on technique first. A lot of people get injured trying to do vanity lifting. Since you’re at the bottom of the strength scale, you can work your way up making sure you are doing things correctly.

Building strength is going to be about incremental gains. If you keep a good schedule you’ll be pushing pretty good weight in no time.

Since I doubt my bro Gouken is gonna be added I really don’t care about the upcoming characters tbh.

The only one I wanna see added is Makoto and that’s for @NCK_Feroce because he legit seems like a nice guy.

I also have interest in Adon,Maki and Dudley, and I doubt they gonna be added either. So yea,not hoping for much to save myself the trouble.

yeah don’t deadlift without practicing technique on the bar, you could severely injure your back if you do it poorly.

I don’t deadlift often, or go beyond max. It’s not worth injuring yourself on a max rep.

I prefer to train to failure rather than going for a max rep.
I only do max rep once in a while to see how far I got. And also because I don’t have that many barbell weights at home. :frowning:
I need to buy more weights and a squat rack to make best use of it.

My squats are currently limited to what I can clean and press over my head. :frowning:

I was a competitive swimmer through college, and was in unbelievable shape during that time. I like to joke that I tried the whole “healthy” thing, and decided it wasn’t worth it.

If you are just looking to stay generally healthy and keep weight off I recommend cardio stuff. You can get a lot of that just with some small lifestyle adjustments (ala walking the dog). If you are looking to build figure then the weightlifting can be good, but you gotta do more than just lift the weights to do it right.

Also sour patch kids. Very important.
