The Manson Vega is pretty hideous. I do like the duel claws though, so maybe at least that aspect could come back. Otherwise, I would like to forget that design exists ASAP.
I think a Knight alt based off his original SF2 design would be really cool. Bring that back.
This is pretty close to how I imagine a modern ‘Shadaloo Agent’ Vega would look like. The gladiator-esque arm claw is a great touch. Would’ve preferred a more ‘army’ looking bottom half with long, almost knee high boots to fit the Shadaloo agent motif.
You know, I’d like Capcom to bring back SFxT’s custom colors. I really like it, just hoping for them to have learned a couple things from the experience.
For one, VERY limited use of neon colors. I like them in moderation just fine or to make your character look like a Super Saiyan. But walking Las Vegas billboards is just no.
Also, an entire swatch dedicated to flesh tones. The four brown/black tones in SFxT were a nice start, but I’d love more options. Since, y’know, not a lotta actual brown/black characters.
I wouldn’t mind a colour slider. Neon colours were fine…if they were used in small doses. They weren’t eye blinding if the whole character was lit up. It just looked…really stupid. As bad as the ones that go full black/white…ugh…coughs a little
Maybe not so much a “slider” persay. But more in depth colour style then what SFxT had. Would be nice. Hmmmmmmm maybe something like…the elder scrolls series…just in colour form (Ie colour sepearate parts of each clothing rather then a a whole part). Or is that too far in depth?
Like, coloring different sections of, say, Ryu’s pants?
Or do you mean just separating out each individual section, instead of how it was in SFxT where some unrelated sections were all grouped together? Cause while that was understandable, yeah, there were times where I wanted a bit more freedom.
Yeah like, say for whatever reason you wanted to have ryu’s pants in different colours. Like the left leg is blue and the other is red etc etc. Or would that be too in depth?
If color editing is allowed it actually would need MORE restrictions than SFxT had. There was too much opportunity for trolling in that. The sections you can color could be expanded on but the colors available would need to be restricted more on specific body parts. In addition they’d need to put in a restriction that prevents characters from being all 1 color. No all black characters messing with dark background stages.
Its a tough choice, I made some cool costumes on SFxT and CvSnK 2 and while I’d like to have it in SF5 you know people would try god awful gawdy stuff. If it was implemented they’d have to limit the skin tone choices to actual skin tones and nothing too outrageous for the material colours.
I dunno, it might be best to keep it out of pure SF games and give us more than 10 colour choices.
Becuase i hope they change his basic standard design, to push him a lil bit more far from Ryu
Some design keypoints must stay, or they ruin the iconic image of the character… example blond kinda long hairs, red main color etc
I will like if they make him with usual large red karate pants and black belt, but with something more western/modern as top piece, maybe
or
It will make his design line more heavy on the legs section, wich can work nice to show that he’s the kicks shoto.
Also i will like they rework a lil bit hair too, maybe an high ponytail
This imho will push him more far from Ryu and show that time passed, but he will keep look like iconic Ken.

This was posted over a week before ken was even revealed…
How?.. How did…
My brain hurts.
Anyway, the only costume I can think of is for Ryu, which is Golden age Guts from Berserk, and that’s only because, minus the sword,I can’t unsee the resemblance between the two.
