Just please don’t put stupid costumes in. I hope they make this game more serious compared to sf4 with the complete mongolian costumes
also I hope they have 20 original colors as opposed to just 10 with different skin tones. I saw in sf4 sagat was basically just one color 
Stage translations already kill any “seriousness”. Having some silly costumes won’t hurt the game’s tone.

True. Never really thought about how Vega’s more or less a fusion of elements from those two, of all FotNS characters.
Either way, he’s rocking some kind of Nanto, and that’s awesome.
I always thought they should have released a “cosplay” pack in USF4, where characters would dress up as characters from other Capcom games. That would have been a FAR FAR better idea IMO than the stupid animal/furry pack or “summer/beach” bullshit they came up with.
I never gave a shit about paid DLC costumes in either this game or SFxTekken, but would have happily done so if it was a cosplay pack. It wouldnt necessarily be hard to find someone suitable either, for example Cammy as Morrigan, Zangief as Victor, etc. In the case of the SF5 characters revealed so far I would say the following:

I imagine the first round of costume alts will be classic versions for all the returning characters in 5 who have different appearances. (Bison, Vega, Ken, etc.)
From there I’m pretty open for whatever. My preference is for more serious alts to come out first before we get crazy off the wall stuff ala the animal costumes in 4.

Necalli as medusa would be funnier, not because of the gender issue but because of his hair. Especially when he goes super saiyan mode.
I don’t really get Ryu as mummy though. I guess you just kind of had to find something for him but didn’t really fit to me. If you wanna be super racist you could have Birdie as King Kong, which works with the whole banana peel.

Seeing as Cammy’s rocking the Cannon Spike look as her main outfit, Vega could do the same at least as an alternate.
