Yeah the blonde ratio is insane now. Technically even Vega is blonde. And 3 characters so far aren’t even naturally blonde. Too fucking much.
You know I’ve always agreed with this kind of view. OK YES we all know she doesn’t play exactly like ryu or ken, but it’s obvious what people refer to when they call her a shoto. You already mentioned why. Same attacks that surprise surprise, look the same. If they add her then give her something to differentiate her even further. I seriously think she’s only popular because she’s like ryu, who eveyrone and their mom plays as.

I know, I was just referring to the ones that were. Her light to medium links without V Trigger are rather short ranged any ways.
The lights in V Trigger naturally get more frame advantage on hit (instead of doing multi hits), so there’s a chance that property could stay.

I do, however, realise how slim the chances are of getting both Karin and Juri at launch now. Based pretty on the fact that the number of male fighters always greatly outweighs the number of female fighters. Chances are, we won’t even have 6 female characters at launch.

Finally got around to digging up that SDCC 16 characters picture and messed around with some ways to fit the Siliconera characters into it in a sensible fashion.

Long story short, there are a lot of ways you can arrange a character roster and not all of them have to based on what series they’re from.
Not fixed. Karin is a sponsor for Mika’s wrestling career. She has as much of a connection to Mika as Zangief does.
That’s why I’m not going to completely buy the rivals thing yet as some characters probably have multiple other characters they could consider rivals.
I think we are getting both Zangief and Karin. So celebrate!
