SFV Character Request/Anticipation Thread

So, looking over the final results of the poll (and culling some obvious red herrings like E.Ryu and Skullomania), how would everyone feel about seasons 4 and 5 if they went:
SEASON 4

• Fei Long
• Makoto
• Dudley
• C. Viper
• Rose
• Q (if G turns out to be Q 2.0, replace with Oro)

SEASON 5

• Maki
• Yun
• Adon
• Poison
• Sodom
• Oro (Replace with Gen if Oro is already in)

I think they’ll mix new characters too. Also I know Makoto looks like a boy, but Capcom has a 2 females per season limit :lol:

People seem to think that if G and Q are the same person (which I doubt they are), that Q can’t be in, to which I point to Evil Ryu, Violent Ken, and Oni.

My thoughts regarding Sakura.

The Inevitable Street Fighter V Story Thread: ARCADE EDITION!

Alternate Color blue should have been a default for Sakura rather than the black.

It kept her color palette and color wheel strongly intact.

Not originally my feedback and I didn’t notice it, it came from a fellow collector that both collects and cosplays Sakura while also an artist that featured in a Udon compilations arts.

But I have the similar preference and thoughts somewhere earlier in the thread last year in case the costume would be updated.

I’m not a Sakura fan or not into her in anyway.

We *didn’t *have the same thoughts and preference, I’m on the opposite side regarding the character development in SFV’s Sakura’s Individual Story mode, which I know where her stand point is.

I always wanted used the argument “lifestyle” limitation as a way to imply characters development rather than doing something reckless, dressing something out of the character design or making them act out of the character.

Lifestyle is even ask if you need medical assistance to our your possible routine, mindset and obsession that may used to identify clearly our problems and know the possibilities that cause of our difficulties. Since in reality we can’t do everything at the same time and we can’t be everywhere at the same time also. Even if a wealthy person hire somebody to do a job for him/her that doesn’t makes him/her an expert because of the lack of the important part which is real time experience and understanding with accuracy that see things in a natural perspective with all the observation, risk and consequences, that also includes the loss possibilities and opportunities not just a summarize that data that aims to convince and sounds good on paper.

Confidence, determination and motivation can be also a illusion of a actuality, Life isn’t just what we think about like what we wanted and it’s not also about just resources but also possibilities. Capcom put’s it into reality in Sakura by integrating lifestyle limitations in Sakura as a way of growth rather than just making her do some way crazy decision or way too different looks just for some to assume she is matured which is lazy and poor writing. I really like what Capcom did for her.

I do agree they shouldn’t have changed Sakura’s color scheme. Super happy about the outfit change, but character’s color schemes should be iconic and shouldn’t change.

Makoto is the 1st most wanted character who isn’t in SFV, what a surprise. Even the official poll proves that, so will be hard for Capcom justify a non inclusion of her next season. If they keep with the 4 males + 2 females set then the remaining female spot would be one between Rose or Viper, nobody else.

Poison could be an option, but I dunno, she’s always appeared in every fighting game with Hugo in there. Definitely she’s a character who can be added alone and next year being also FF anniversary could be a big push for her towards SFV. We’ve just entered S3 and looking at the possible S4 roster all we have is the characters poll atm, but not is set in stone. As a well known Makoto diehard I’m genuinely happy about her being so high in popularity, at least I’m not alone or an Ingrid fan.

Obviously people started voting characters they want more than characters they love. I’ve voted my fav character since that was what the poll asked. Anyway ignoring the poll results would be pretty questionable by Capcom, they can’t ignore the fans and the S3 lineup proves that.

I think they’ll break them up for sure, she’s just so much more popular than Hugo, and such an LGBT reference in fighting games, she’s just grown into her own character with her own (quite large) fanbase over the years. I’m not sure Capcom will take the poll that seriously though, not only is it heavily skewed towards a season 3 wishlist, the amount of injected votes that were seen kinda makes me hard to think of it as legit. The one from 5 years ago just looks more reliable imo.

Agree 2 years or 1 year as the least.

Agree because this poll could be suitable for the final season or the next SF game if possible.

2 years or 1 yr and half as an interval is the perfect way to identify a season character.

Yet they are free to alter new characters to be different new characters as things progresses… but still keeping mostly their special moves intact.

Zeku might have been Gen’s disciple in the beginning or Ed could have been Byron, which is altered by trends and reaction changes.

The huge part of designing a character that would cause a delay is gameplay.

Model skins. then followed by other presentation like win quotes, voice overs, images and etc are done as the feedback progresses.

That procedure for new characters is different from the like of returning characters because of the special as already iconic and mostly attach to the character.

I remember the time when SF4 was release like 1 year and there are news that Deejay and THawk was already finish with endings and models.
