i’d love vega too but i feel like they will say juri fills the shadaloo henchperson slot. i’m really curious as to how the illuminati/shadaloo thing is going to go down. this game definitely has the potential to have a good story behind it if they put the time and effort in.
I really want Bison to take Remy or Necro under his wing. At first they would consider Bison the “good guy” because he provides an answer to their personal problems, but they go on to realize the evil nature of Bison and Shadowloo.
I would also like to see one of the “other” Dolls. Not Decapre/Juni/Juli/Cammy-clone, but someone who is almost a completely different character visually and in a match. The other Dolls include users of spears, bo staffs, swords, and so on; I want to see them.
I want to see vega and eagle really badly. I never played CvS2 competitively but rather casually with friends and eagle was always my go-to character. Cool, fun to use and with a lot of potential. And I believe vega would probably benefit the most from the new graphics engine in SFV. From a design and animation perspective. He’s got like 5 different materials in his design that would make him look dynamic as fuck with teh new lighting system. That aside, his playstyle has always been very unique. The master of footsies and zoning(which was not really capitalized on in IV)
Abel’s great fun to play. I’d love to see him in SFV with less reliance on step kick, and have a more Judo style. His Omega mode really changed his style.
They really fcked up his story from Super on though…I mean he finds a lost dog? That’s his story??
The lost dog is a metaphor and mirrors Abel’s own life. Abel too was lost, nameless, and rescued (by Charlie Nash 5 years before SF4). By the end of SF4, Abel didn’t find all the answers he was hoping to find but decided it would be better to just focus on the present (his relationship with his new companion dog literally, or himself metaphorically since the lost dog represents Abel).
Last night I had a dream Capcom showed a new trailer. It started with Nash fighting what looks to be Nemesis. Then all of a sudden Q pops up from behind and it’s a 3-way fight. Then it went to a different scene where Ryu and Ken and Sakura were fighting something.
I agree with this. I was bummed when they said 16 characters, but then relieved when I saw how surprisingly badass Ken looks. I would like to see Akuma and Guile, but both as DLC. Although Nash was my favorite character in the beta, he still reminded me a lot of Guile.
Honestly I’d like to see Vega in the new style/engine. With dozens of characters to choose from, I have no idea how they’re gonna pick the initial 16. But after seeing Necalli, I sure am excited for the other new characters!
How? Because of the sonic boom? Guile is a charge character, Nash has zero charge moves. There is room for both in the initial roster imo opinion. A charge grappling Guile
They both have Sonic Booms and they both have Flash Kickish moves. To the casual observer and the laymen (i.e. the majority of sales), they are very similar. Too similar to be part of the primary 16 IMO.
This is why Guile should come in via DLC later. There are plenty of really unique designs in the SF catalogue that would add value to the roster just by being included.
Pop Culture Shock released a preview of their upcoming Blanka statue.
Other than the lighting it looks quite a bit like I’d imagine Blanka would look in SF5. Note that they’ve also done very recent statues for E Honda, Oro, and Vega so this may not be related to SF5 at all.
The Oro one is really suspicious so I am not gonna let it go. Blanka is also a high probability given all the hints/trolling Ono has been dropping (I agree he does look eerily like I imagine he would in SF5). I hope the Vega one is a good sign, and the I hope the Honda one isn’t.
You know, if blanka looks like that and fights cool, then i’m all for him being in. His design can lend itself to looking ferocious and brutal, but he was made into a fucking clown in IV. I’d still much rather see oro and vega take his place.
Also, the vega statue is really cool except for that monstrous freaking latissimus muscle. Looks terrible!
Yea, I won’t deny that SF has always had some goofyness in it. Even then they really transitioned the character to full idiocy in IV. I never really playe d alpha much so I can’t vouch for that
As far as characters go Guile and Akuma don’t need to be in this game. They are clone characters who provide nothing new from the character roster up to date. Capcom needs to stop adding clone characters who fall under the same character type tree. They don’t have to keep adding the same characters every single game. I would prefer less shoto characters and more characters who haven’t been in a game in awhile (Sodom, Q, Oro, R.Mika etc). Oh yeah Sakura, Rose are complete wastes same clones…
