EX V-Skills is an interesting idea just dunno how it would work techically in terms of input. There’s a lot of variations they can do with something like that.I was really interested in this part of your suggestions for Juri’s V-trigger.
If she makes it to roster, agreed 1000%,Feng Shui Engine for her V-Trigger,can’t be anything else in my book. I like her Kasatucshi too but not for a V-Skill i think its easier to work with as a move. Maybe some kinda slide or Spin Kick to improve her options going up against projectiles and the mix up game.
Feng Shui is just so good all in its own so that’s what really makes me not want to veer from that idea. As for Kasatuschi, I see your point and I don’t disagree at all.
The main reason I don’t disagree with you is because once again, it feels like just porting Omega Juri to SFV… But then again I thought Kens step kick worked better as a move itself and they have it only as an attack cancel to his V Skill Run.
Now there’s nothing wrong with that. Thing is I’m not exactly unimpressed with her as a character now and given the smaller changes that are usually always made by the developers, I have faith in their creativity especially with the characters that have been shown. So I’m OK with Kasatuschi but depending on the option presented… I’m willing to listen.
Going back to Akuma/Oni quickly… Can I please get (Omega) Heavy Tatsu into air demon? I’ll take a damage nerf but Shit that is sexy…
Would be cool to see Maki in this, because I doubt Guy will be in the initial roster (or even dlc). Need a ninja character (or final fight character in general)…
Why is Guy up there? I hate to play Devil’s Advocate here, but his play style isn’t too far from the infamous El Fuerte whom everyone claims “isn’t Street Fighter”.
Personally, I find Karin’s presentation annoying in the same way people don’t mind how Rufus plays but hate seeing him jiggle all over the screen like an idiot. While I wouldn’t be opposed to a “grown” Karin who fights like her old self and ditches the schoolgirl tropes, I extend this to the rest of the annoying/hated characters too. A redone Rufus, Hakan, or Blanka would be really cool in my opinion.
The only characters I “hate” on a gameplay level are Seth, Viper, and Honda. (Honda moreso because he just feels like a hodgepodge of moves ripped from the other WW characters.)
Not specifically Lupin but a character like him in many ways. At the moment there is no “Gentleman thief” type character in all of SF history. In addition Lupin’s personality would be awesome. He meshes “Cool” with “Goofy” flawlessly.
Now even if they don’t go with the “Cool/Goofy” style of Lupin just having a Gentleman Thief / Robin Hood type character is something I’d love to see them explore.
His story could revolve around wanting to steal something from the Illuminati or Bison simply because they are so big and powerful he sees it as a challenge.
Guy is the first street fighter with the run stop moves. El fuerte runs a lot, but people are more annoyed by what he does on knockdown. Guy is a solid footsies/rushdown character with the unique run/stop mechanic.
Ono is a huge fan of Mika and she didn’t make it into SFIV. Ono being a fan of Blanka doesn’t guarantee his inclusion. Capcom’s thought processes aren’t that simple. Capcom wanted to put “Hero” Cody in SFIV but went with Hamburglar Cody because that’s what they thought fans wanted. I personally wish they’d gone with Hero Cody.
I wouldnt be suprised if karin is in the game. All though its probably very likely she’ll get a design change. Her style is already different, maybe they’ll do something more with it.
Robble Robble -sigh- throws hamburger over his shoulder
If Cody makes it in I think it’s a strong bet he’ll be Hero Cody this time judging by the banner in the background of London. I doubt he’ll be in the base game though, probably DLC.
Capcom makes odd choices for sure. Like the Mika costume on Kuma was practically designed just to piss off fans. As it is I don’t think Ono is THAT hands on with SF5 this time around. The actually development stuff I think is Ayano given that Ono had a promotion to a more executive position a while after SF4 was out.
I don’t think Mika, if she is in, will be released soon. I think she is a saver. I’m comfortable in my belief that EVO is going to be New char + SF3 character. Karin + Mika at TGS would make a lot of sense. I believe Karin would get the biggest reaction at EVO but the 2nd best place would be TGS and I think TGS would be the place they’d get the biggest reaction for Mika given her popularity is much higher in Japan than engilish countries, at least according to their polls.
Udon just released SF comic showing Nash, Urien, and Gill.
Confirmation of Urien and Gill in SF5?
If Urien is in SF5, I don’t think he’ll be as good as the Urien in SF3. In SF3 Urien had the ability to perform unblock-able and would need to parry to get out of the setup. However since SF5 is not parry implemented how would it affect his game play?
Also I was kinda hoping that Akuma would get a costume where he’s hooded like in USF4 but with actual pants and like shen guarded sandals with black or colored sandals. His hair would be down and just hanging down in his face but to the side of his eyes for the most part.
The reason for that is cause his hair tie broke when he first transformed into Oni. After he never replaced it. In this instance his attitude changes slightly. He’s still confident and cocky but he takes a more controlled mindset in the phase of being Akuma. As he gets more challenged he starts to go berserk.
Then he transforms back to Oni where his hair automatically stands from the energy.
As for Juri, I’d like for her to let her hair down then get a redesigned costume that’s either skin onesie with puffy pants still but slits on the side of it to show more skin around the legs. There should be lining and designs on it as well. I’m pushing for black and gold but black and purple could work or it could follow her original color scheme. It would look similar to Medusa’s outfit from Soul Eater except with the slits around the legs
Of course it doesn’t have to be hooded but I wouldn’t object. In fact I definitely think it would look better. It’d also be nice imo if maybe she could get two taunts. If she gets knocked down or if she does Feng Shui, the hood could come off and to put it back on all she would need to do is to fully complete a taunt. With her hood up, she could just do her regular taunt.
In the end though, that’s an irrelevant function and I doubt something like that would be considered. But oh well, I’m done for now.
On the flip side, at least in regards to this specific comic, they likely had some help from Capcom in the story. Capcom has yet to reveal any real storyline related stuff at all to the public. I imagine that Capcom probably sat them down and gave them like a general idea of what they could and couldn’t do and some basic points regarding Nash’s up coming story.
Not saying that the story is canon, or that Udon even has ALL of the information. I just think that there may be nuggets of truth regarding SF5 in there.
