They’re such a shithole. I tried to ask about controller support and everyone crops up like I’m the bad guy.
IMHO I think the butt slap doesn’t do anything. Its beyond tame compared to some aspects of Dead or Alive so it was stupid to change the angle for Mika.
It has reached page 5 up in this bitch.

Will Diesel anyone who cares about those buttons or thinks they matter is wtf in real life and that’s putting it nicely.
How about you stfu cupcake.
Okay, what the fuck is up with ParryAll in this thread? Was he hacked or something? Nigga been here for 11 years and just now is posting shit like this
She wasn’t on her cycle for 11 years. Give her a break fella.

So many spoilt brats here. Capcom shows suspiciously underage looking girls in compromising positions? They’re Japanese, it’s their culture, cut them some slack. Capcom “censors” said girls - ERMAGAWD MAH FREEEDUMB!!! MORALS!!! INJUSTICE!!! ARGH!!! A bunch of hypocrites. You piss on “social justice” then you demand it for yourselves. Fuck off.
Capcom did NOT censor R.Mika. ***Get that through your thick skulls. ***
Call things by what they truly are. Capcom reframed the picture, shifted the camera focus to the character, the person, the face, rather than a zoomed in ass shot. Her ass is still bare, her tits still hang out, and she still slaps her butt cheek.
Capcom reconsidered their position about the kind of company they want to or could be perceived as. They do not want to come off as cheap, as tacky, as gratuitous, as remotely offensive, as pandering, or as disturbing in anywy - **But **they still want to retain the essence of who the character is. This was their reconsideration, their reconfiguration, and their compromise. The artist does not want to come off that lewd anymore. WHY don’t you respect the artists’ wishes? Why does the juggernaut Sony and Capcom corps have to be weak and coerced into doing this in your mind? Collapsing to the pressure to the “social justice warriors” who are suddenly the new ISIS? Why does Capcom changing their mind (which happens a lot during beta) has to be the result of an outcry or a conspiracy? More so why do Capcom have to be liars about their reasoning when they have been so transparent with us from the beginning? Is it cuz ParryAll’s journalism degree says so? Have you heard how crazy and paranoid he sounds? Capcom do not have to justify anything by the way, but some of you feel they owe you the whole god damn civil rights movement. Capcom owes you nothing but what you pay for, and you are not obliged to buy from them anything that disagrees with your moral compass.
We are in a privileged position to be able to see the entire development process of a Street Fighter game for the first time, and all this fuss, 7000 signature petitions, drama, over a shift in camera angle (that is what it literally is)? Man you guys WAKE THE FUCK UP. There is REAL STUFF happening in the world that is better suited for your attention and energy. If this was an ACTUAL DENOTATIONAL censorship, I would be the first to side against it but censorship this was not.
Truth be told, the only rational reason anyone would actively pursue to “uncensor” Mika is because they have too much time on their hands. Relax, chill, jerk off, get a girlfriend, we’ll be playing SF5 soon and that is all that truly matters.
It’s stuff like this that continues making it obvious that you seriously don’t know what people is truly arguing for…
It’s honestly for the best you leave this thread and the overall discussion for the sake of your own hubris before it comes crumbling down.
And again for your 2 points:
-
Editing…is still censorship. Even if this is a Beta in progress, it’s still something people can SEE and people can PLAY. That’s exactly what self-censorship is.
-
That flies in the face of Poison’s U1 and Dan’s Ass Smack taunt and those was in USFIV. And if this was for the “integrity” of E-Sports, then that’s an even dumber claim since you have violence based games in E-Sports so how would that suddenly be “better”. And finally, Austrailia is even more ass backwards then America is so trying to say it was for them(and again, not adjusting it region by region but instead removing even from JAPAN ITSELF) makes that even more suspect.
The reasoning ultimately makes no sense and is basically a copout, plain and simple.

It’s not going to end here, Laura’s opening pose will be changed next, Urien will be denied his classic costume, unless we actually organize and put an end to this.
It’s not difficult. Once I have a decent amount of supporters here, on YouTube, and my Facebook account we will get it changed.
man, I hope they don’t change Laura’s opening or anything else concerning her.
I don’t think it’s Censorship, it’s just editing. This is nothing new. Art, books, movies, videogames, music albums, newspaper articles,…all of these things usually go through a development phase, in which content is added or subtracted based on the goal of the producer/maker. This has been going on for as long as any of these things have existed, and it really hasn’t impacted future content that much, if at all.
I think the “Censorship” arguement is mostly a slippery slope arguement, using SJW’s as a strawman.

Well, but why specifically edit the slap and Cammy’s entrance.
Why not edit Ken’s hair and his character select face.

In the case of the slap or Cammy’s entrance, it sounded like the decision was based on quantity over quality. With SFV, they are going for a certain amount of provocative content, and in this case, to achieve the amount or maintain the amount they want, they changed the slap cinematic and Cammy entrance. This is similar to how a movie director might re-shoot or re-write a scene to change the amount or level of violence in the scene, or a TV show might edit a script to include more or fewer curse words. It doesn’t always have to be about content ratings, sometimes it’s as simple as the director wanting to achieve a certain tone, based on what he/she thinks is best.

Then why did the “director” do such a sloppy job with Mika? I wouldn’t mind so much if the alternative looked good in the first place. Like, I might main this character and if so, I’ll see that CA a lot. And it just looks crappy. If they really want to stand by their decision, they should give it another pass so that it doesn’t look so silly, at least. For crying out loud, they got Sony’s money.
TS i may ask wich is the point of the thread?
To be clear, i see them as bitches for removing the fapspank
It was fun have it there, was like say that SF is old school and don’t give fucks
They lost a good chance to show balls. Worse, they flexed and posed and acted gangsta, then eat back theyr words
But i don’t get the thread itself
You will NOT convince peoples to change theyr idea about that.
Let’s say you convince 1 out 10 (i doubt) to start care as you care? You get nothing
Let’s say with some miracle speech you convince the entire SRK forum change opinion? Still don’t change shit
Don’t beleive for one second people that tell you we can’t change this.
Call it censorship call it “selective editing” call it what you want.
Our voices are just as important as anyone else’s. It’s not an ESRB issue so it should be an option. Let the censorship be defaulted to “on”, and I think that’s even too much but I am more than willing to compromise and give them the upper hand. Cause I’m a nice guy
They need to censor that garbage ass gameplay.
The whole Esports argument is BS anyway.
Mortal Kombat games, rated M for Mature.
Slicing someone in half, Crotch first, and watching in detail each entrail each bone sobbing with blood, that’s A OK. But Mika slapping her bottom for 1 second to taunt an opponent isn’t? Come on guys. Another red herring bs excuse that holds no water whatsoever.
More concerned over how every character is gonna get nerfed into submission for having better “tools” than other characters even though they all play exactly the same and how they are going to lower the damage into oblivion having motherfuckas looking at you look like this when you are doing your combos.

AAAAH YESSSH, feel the might of me comboing fierce punch into roundhouse back into fierce punch x infinity for 10% of your health big boy!!!
Another point I want to make.
You know on a level this game isn’t for us. It’s for today’s teen market.
When we were teens we all played Street Fighter Alpha 3, 3rd Strike, Marvel, KOF. Mika touched her bottom and smiled, nobody batted an eyebrow. Cammy had visible well, you get the idea, and it was nerfed in the SNES version but Genesis, 3DO, Saturn, Dreamcast, PlayStation, PS2, Xbox, and every other version it wasn’t.
Guys in here talking about playing with their children. Is it really a good idea to play fighting games period with 5-7 year old kids? I was 12 before I could even throw a hadoken. Rated T games are 13 and up. They’re supposed to be edgy. That’s what PG13 movies are. Edgy, S words and some skin, some violence but not GTAV levels.
I’m not telling you how to raise your kids and I watched R rated movies when I was little, but I just think that’s a really weird defense. But if that’s how you feel then support it as an option so both sides can get what they want.
I’m glad that the issue is past that one woman and the neoGAF group that propped her up, but this group has no business whatsoever dictating what is and isn’t acceptable in gaming. Companies bend over backwards in the end this controversy is causing a lot of bad press and a lot of negative hype very close to release.

I miss first builds Ryu too

Idiocracy: I state my case logically and clearly, but I sound like a fag.
There’s like ten posts in this thread that basically amount to “there’s that fag speak again ParryAll”
I can talk hard and be manly and dude this and bro that too, and I’m not speaking manifestos everywhere in public or with friends. Come on. Grow up most people here are at least mid 20s or older ffs.
