SFV Bugs and Malfunctions Reporting Thread

Post all the bugs and other issues you encounter here.

Current issue I’m having is I can’t join anyone’s games or have anyone join my games in battle lounge on my account. Whereas strangely on my brother’s account it works well. I also regularly get disconnected out of the lounge after creating one.

After playing for about 10 matches no problem today I keep getting the connection lost to opponent 40002 message, and that after looking at a loading screen for a good minute each time…
After starting a battle lounge I constantly keep getting disconnected from it.

I had the same problem yesterday for a while, and then it suddenly seemed solved, but today this crap is suddenly happening again.

I have a problem with M.Bison. Every time i do crouch MP MP or whatever combination with MP into double knee press, like 30/40% of the time Bison combos into psycho blast. I tested this with input commands like MP MP <- -> MK and even says on screen im inputting those commands but Bison still has the habbit of using psycho blast instead of double knee press. Im trying to learn Bison in SFV (I already knew bison from every other games) but this is making it realy hard for me to learn him. He seems pretty broken to me.

I use a Arcade stick but also tested this on a PS4 controller and its still there (PS4). i have no problem with the same combination into psycho blast or lets say crouch MP MP into head press wich is basicly almost the same combination only up but no problems there either. But if i do the double knee version, its the psycho blast again =/.

Can someone please help cause i dunno wat to do.

@darkmvr I think people in the Dictator thread have talked about it before so you should ask in there first.

I think the issue is you have to tap forward precisely before hitting kick to get the scissors. If you accidentally hit df scissors won’t come out. Has to be a clean charge, then press forward + K. If you turn on input display and see a diagonal direction it probably won’t come out.

Thanks for reply, i guess il wait till they fix Bison if they ever will then.

I decided to go ahead and post this interesting glitch I found while playing in training mode. It involves freeze frame with an opponent’s V-Trigger. If your opponent executes a freeze frame on the first frame of a your move, depending on which move, you can cancel into any other move. Any normal can be canceled into a special, EX, V-Skill, V-Trigger, throw, or CA. Any special can be canceled with an EX or CA. EX moves can be canceled with CA. It is very situational, but it can be done if the conditions are met. Basically, when your opponent’s V-Trigger flash ends you can input the command and it will cancel the move you were going to do into a more reliable move. I’ll post at the bottom some vids that demonstrate what I am explaining.

In this one I cancel ex SBK with Chun-Li into here CA

In this one I cancel Vega’s EX wall dive going away from the opponent with his CA that goes towards the opponent

**Street Fighter V has a network card bug **that runs the game in a full 60fps but in slow motion. All the graphical details remains intact, but runs as if you are underwater. It’s not just me, plenty of people in the steam discussion for this game has the same issue. Capcom have shown no sign of acknowledgement since Day 1 about this bug.

The laptop is a:
-Windows 10
-MSI GE72 6QF Apache Pro

  • i7-6700HQ SKYLAKE
    -16GB ram
    -256 SSD
    -GTX 970M with updated 364.51 driver. (3GB DDR5)
    -SFV with season pass

I have tried solutions with no results:
-disabling v-sync
-changing into NVIDIA processor in the control panel
-changing compatibility to vista/7/8
-creating fake monitors for dual screen
-downgrading driver
-removing GEFORCE Experience
-running under lowest graphical settings
-running in low spec mode
-running in optimized settings using GEFORCE Experience
-changed to maximum performance on GPU in control panel
-update network card drivers both wired and wireless.

Overall, It is clear that the machine, and the GPU settings isnt the problem. **I have proven I can run the game at full 60fps without slowdown easily on this machine if I do the following: **

  1. Restart the game, and reach the main menu
  2. go back to windows
  3. disable both wired, and wireless adapter.

I travel alot due to my work. I have a good desktop with 980Ti, and PS4 with SF5 on it at home. (They work flawlessly)
But for this laptop, the best I can do is just play survival, training, and the new challenge mode, and forever be offline game…or get a 2nd PS4, and 3rd copy of SFV.

This probably doesn’t count and I don’t know if this has been addressed elsewhere, but I can’t get the game to recognize my HRAP4 (playing the game on steam). I have custom drivers that allow me to play with PS3 controllers, but nada. Even stranger, it doesn’t pick up the stick when I toggle it to PC which is supposedly xinput (which the game should read as far as I know). The stick works perfectly fine on every other fighting game I’ve tested it on. Anyone else familiar with this?

Anything other than 360 controller, you have to map your keyboard to your device using joy2key software.

Is there a way to report bugs and glitches for the game officialy in Capcom??They broke guard recovery randomizer in Training mode with the latest update! It no longer randomizes but the dummy keeps repeating one number! Please check it yourshelf…Its a much need tool for me…

Anyone experiencing a bug in battle lounges where you cannot rematch because the connection is lost to your opponent? Happens repeatedly, and only after you have played at least one set. No way to fix it without recreating the lounge afaik.

Ever since yesterday’s update, I’ve been getting constant disconnects with the 40002 error code. Most of the disconnects happen right after the versus loading screen. If I get past the loading screen, then I would get the error code midway through the match. I couldn’t even get a connection through the battle lounge either.

Hi everyone.

I’m here to report that the game won’t log in for me ever since the update the other day. It goes to the white screen with the SFV logo, then a message pops up saying “disconnected from server, 21006” or something a long those lines. This is very disappointing as I wanted to jump on and check out the new content. Is there a fix for this? what should I do?

There’s this hideous sound glitch where CC and some other hit effects won’t be heard after the latest patch. Get ready for yet another server maintenance.

Is there no place to go for tech support? It’s been 3 days now, and I can’t get past the title screen.

I deleted the game off my PS4, then reinstalled it, hoping it would help. But it’s the same. The game says “disconnected from server 21006” but it never even connected in the first place. Any searching I do online regarding log in issues are all over a year old, and nothing was of assistant.

I hope this isn’t an isolated issue for me only, I haven’t heard of anyone else having a problem.

Can’t log in on PC since the update. Failed to retrieve data [80003] thus only offline mode for me (where I can’t even get FM).

Whitelisted both EXEs in my Trend Micro, opened all suggested ports, removed all mods, deleted and reinstalled the game, started Steam as admin…nothing works.

So you have a similar problem. Have you heard if there are more people having this issue? I can’t find any info online, nothing that’s not over a year old anyway. I don’t get it. I updated, then all of a sudden the game won’t sign into the server anymore.

I can’t get any tech support. I email Tweeted SFVserver, and email Capcom. But no reply.

This is a “SFV common problems and solutions”-guide on Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=757254520
The network stuff should also apply to the PS4 version. But nothing helped in my case.

Currently in these forums no one has reported the problems that we have though. :expressionless:

It was Trend Micro. Added both StreetFighterV.exe-files to Trusted Programs. Before I only had added them under Behavior Monitoring as “allowed”. Now I can play.

Sorry that doesn’t help you. You can contact Capcom support at capcom-unity.com - they will create a ticket and help you.

Well, at least you got it figure out.

I think my problem is something totally different tho. The same time I updated SFV, I also updated the PS4 firmware to version 4.72.

I have a feeling the problem might be caused by the new firmware, but I have no idea. I wish I would have tried to play SFV before updating to see if it would have work before any updates. But now it’s too late.

I uninstalled SFV twice, reinstalled, but still the same problem. I went into safe mode and did “rebuild database”, didn’t help either. I getting to the point where I might considered initializing my PS4 and starting from scratch. But man, what a pain to have to go through this all for SFV.
