I have heard the same thing, several different places too. Its not that I dont think it cant stand on it own as a game though. but as a comic it needs that Street Figher connection or it just wont sell. And we have udons rival schools comic to prove that. and then we have the sakura book too.

Well, the Rival Schools comic from Udon was also pretty jarringly off from what people were… expecting (to say the most objective way to put it). I imagine that affected sales a bit, too.
(although yes, definately odds are interest would be a lot more increased with a well-known popular char like Sakura having a bigger role in it)
Picked it up today, I rofled at Dan tripping while preforming the Shun Goku Satsu.
Good stuff from Udon once again :tup:
great stuff, even though ive not read the prev 3 issues. Udon sf comics are certainly more consistently better than the recent tf books of the last couple years.
