First of all, you need to tell us about the tournament format. Is it single/double elimination, best 2/3, etc.
Rules of the tournament - will Seth/Gouken be allowed? Stuff like that.
In other words, please work out the logistics.
Also, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE change that controller rule. Sticks vs Pad is should be allowed in tournament. That’s how it’s been, including at the majors we hold. That would be MUCH appreciated, thank you ma’am.
for 10-15 dollar entry fee i would like to know where all this money is going to - especially since it is supposedly for charity. as in how much goes to the actual charity and how much goes to the place that is holding it.
After reading the posts we decided to change the controllers rules. You guys definitely made some valid points… So that will be a change that we will make. Thank you for your input!!!
As mentioned before, this event is for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Team in Training organization. They approached us about hosting the event and all proceeds from the event go to this charity. Prizes and giveaways are donated by Play N Trade and other businesses from Downtown San Mateo. So to answer your question: none of the money goes to the place holding the event, and in fact, we’re covering the cost to put on the event because we believe everyone should do what they can in the fight against cancer.
I’m all for doing things ESPECIALLY for a good cause. I’ll be there, count me in.
Also, if you officially changed the rules, please edit your first post. It’d be nice to see more people from the scene get involved in things like this. =]

Thanks for openly accepting them, although if you were unsure on how to run it I would have posted a question to the community of “How would you want this to be ran” and get a general consensus. But it is good that you’re listening to us and changing, unfortunately not everyone is like that. Thanks.

If you go to channel Clan N1B, that’s cool, just let the other grunts/shamans know that hot dogs is cool with ish. Otherwise, they might try to kick you from channel =P

the rules for sf4 also state no infinites and no resets…WTF???
I hope no resets is talking about reseting the game and not anything else x_x.
Not allowing infinities however is nothing short of racism. And I won’t stand for it.

The no resets rules must have been misinterpreted when we said “no infinite” rule for MK Vs. DC, regular resets are fine like Rog’s Overhead punch mix up game
Infinites should be allowed with el fuerte (if anyone can fucking do it in NorCal) based on the sole fact that it does shitty damage after a couple of hits, and the amount of work it takes to even pull it off. Just because it’s an infinite, don’t mean it’s cheap. It’s only cheap if THEORETICALLY people can do that ish 100%, which is usually not the case.
Also, resets should be allowed. And by resets, I don’t mean resetting the game, but resets as in the interruption of a combo to begin a new combo to do better damage output. Please change those two things immediately.
Btw… there’s never been a rule about resets for SF4, so you should just delete the whole section talking about infinites/resets to avoid any confusion. Thanks
