I’m getting tired of online play for SF4. If it’s a public match it goes like this
40% unable to join
30% Already full
15% Let you in, play one game
10% Let you get in, but kick you.
5% Don’t even respond when you ready
And then, in game. You have a 1 in 8 chance of meeting a ken player. Dhalsim and Fuerte don’t even exist online.
So I figure everyone is super serious for BPs so I check player games. Same thing. No one wants to play with me. Fuck this. Training mode all day.

It’s getting pretty tough for me to find a good game in ranked. If the errors don’t get in the way, lots of people kick me on sight (on perfectly good 4 bar connections) and some whine about claw’s wall dive (which is honestly one of the most useless moves in the game at a decent level of play). It sucks because I still have too much to learn to just get mired up now.

i watch darksydephil’s videos and, at least for xbox, he meets people he’s blocked due to them being d/cers, all the time…so its like it has no effect, hows PSN in this circumstance?
Yeah, sadly, it only affects the messaging system here as well. It doesn’t actually do anything in-game so you’ll still run into them often since some of those repeat offenders have no dignity to lose. But I just keep them there so that if I’m not sure, I can do a quick check to hopefully avoid pissing in their face in the future.

I’ve played NYSlickness a couple of times and he never disconnected on me even when I pull off wall dive shenanigans for the win. And at least Ronald007AY and solidpedini just incessantly kick anybody they remember beat them but AFAIK don’t actually disconnect when you beat them for the first time.
you just gave me my last win of the night branta! now i know why vega is so low, i didn’t realize you can wait that long to aa his wall dives. his wall dives are basically signs saying “please hit me, i can’t block”
