i think you can when it hits console, and you can map buttons. because you have to hit the buttons really fast. im guessing the notation would be

b,d/b,d,d/f,f,u/f,u,u/b,b,d/b,d,d/f,f,u/f+kk~ppp

i only see this useful vs a jumpin, but i cant do standing 720 so the possibility of me using this is slim to none unless i get enough frames to do something like

I was thinking it would be 360+KK and then immediatley 360+PPP = rape. Does that sound right to anyone? I will check that sfiv thread in a bit, thanks for the link ross.

K-Frank. Heh I did it with zangief my first time and it was easier then u are thinking. Only problem is, it is not useful for gief. If u do it on jump in, it comes out to fast. Any opportunity to do it on the ground, you might as well just spam Ultra since it is instant anyway. U dont really need to rely on taking a hit and then kara ultra.

For others, it is very useful. Cause normally someone whiffs a fierce, the odds of u doing an ultra and hitting are slim. If u take the hit and go into ultra, i think the hit absorption does some sort of pause, im not 100% i need to test more

On a Narrows-not-SFIV note, if Narrows has another air hockey tourney please post it up here too. I’d love to check that out, and probably enter and get destroyed. I just found out about their one from June - high level air hockey is fun to watch. :smile:

ok so i was reading the sf4 section about gouken… he has super armor during his dash punch. meaning, dash punch into shin sho… i mightve found a new char to use ^^

I am hella scared of you guys in SFIV now, but luckily I have the $$$ to get HD Remix as soon as it comes out and I’ll be online beasting on day 1…maybe one day I’ll catch up to you cats in SFIV, we shall see.

The best way to catch up is to play pimpin. Save up cash like me and just try to make it to an outing, at least shoot for the tournament. There are plenty of ppl to ask for rides. And since it’s single match till top 8 it’s not taking too much out of your pockets till then. On the bright side in top 8 if you win you don’t have to spend another dollar since you won so if you can end up not losing a single match you’d only spend at least 6 bucks in a 16 man tourney?? And I think only 7 bucks in a 32 man tourney???

I think I spent about 9 bucks total on the tournament itself (4 games to get to top 8, then 5 bucks in top 8), 10 for gas since it’s pretty cheap now and ian bought my pho cause I drove. So about 20 bucks or so. And I’ll say it again, if ppl need rides let me know! I can fit 3 ppl comfortably in my car, 4 can be done too. Just pop for gas and if possible find a central point to meet up at and it’s on an crackin.

Unfortunately I won’t be going to mnf’s tomorrow :frowning:

Well, I only really am interested in tournaments when I wanna see where I stand, and right now I barely know any characters and I know I am weak as hell, so I would rather try to winsteak in casuals than mess around with tournies though. The game is bomb as fuck to me right now.

BTW did you guys read that Rose is gonna be updated for console (and possibly arcade)? I think Rose is one of the many things that caused me to have a thing for older women starting as a shortie commin’ up.

Up in the street fighter 4 forums, we have a confirmed (blurry) pic of Rose in the console version! Good shit for all the rose fans out there. Maybe we could see the return of Ron “Chainwhore” Chan to street fighter, now that one of his favs is back in action.

So…4 brand new characters, 12 from SF2, 4 from alpha, 3 from ST, Gouken, and Seth… can we get some 2 or 3 from 3S?? Preferably Dudley as one of them?

Its a fake. I am pretty sure Rose is in the game, but the “in game pic” is her Alpha sprite blurred and stuck behind the KO sign.

You can see Geifs body behind the Ink, but Rose’s is not, and her body is a PERFECT outline of her Alpha Sprites neutral state.

yeah, I got way over excited. But the character select screen picture does look real. Also moving seth over to the side like that makes me think they are putting him there as a for fun character. Kind of like what they did with Pyron/Shin Akuma in CFJ. It makes the most sense to me, cause I doubt they are going to change his stuff much.

I think they will make him a playable character, or at least they should. It amounts to a lot of wasted time and money if you spend resources making a full character only to have them too strong to be played. Why waste all that time and money making a character to only have him be played by CPU or as a joke match?

Well… Gill, he’s a full character with moves and interesting mechanics and supers and everything and he’s basically just too powerful to allow people to play.

That’s my point. All that effort that went into making him is now wasted. He gets played as a boss and in non-serious matches. Not even in casuals. That’s it.

So all the time, consideration, work and money that went into putting him in the game does almost nothing to make the game better when compared to using that effort to make a new PLAYABLE character. So a nerfed version of him is a good idea in the long run.

They could leave the boss version as an unlockable by code character or something.
