Dan represents the SF4 Players gaming scene.
thats a crucial point to recognize because the general consensus among 3s Mvc2 and Cvs2 ST OG players is that the game is a beta and we’ll decide to take it seriously when the console release hits.
the OG’s who i consider are at world class level Tao of mvc2 fame, JJJ of cvs2 fame and moe of 3s and cvs2 fame all have not participated in any SF4 tourneys in our scene so the image of the SF4 scene comes off worse than it is.
The OG’s haven’t quit playing games theyre just not interested in playing an overall BAD GAME.

This part makes no sense to me. How is SF4 an “overall bad game”? Compared to MvC2 or CvS2 or what? It’s one of the most balanced games we’ve seen from Capcom I think (so far anyway). Relatively easy to pick up and play…

Alright this shit needs to come to a fucking halt right the fuck now. First off, I have to defend Paullee here, it is true that he hasn’t been runnin his mouth or disrespecting at all to anyone on here, so I don’t know why anyone went at him in the first place.
Secondly, I’m not understanding how BC wants to have a 5 v 5 money match when they seem to only have a problem with TWO ppl on these forums. Ima let all of you know right now that I’m not going to be thrown into some money match (If ppl even want to consider me top 5 around here) because a scene is irritated by one or two individuals. That also brings up about answering if we are going to go up and play you guys. You want 1 person to represent 5 people’s answer? You have to be joking with that shit.
This brings up my other point, we got BC demanding for WA to come up and play, and then we have WA demanding to have BC come down here and play. If this kinda tug of war is going to happen then everyone might as well fucking forget about setting anything up because neither party is going to go to either place to play, and if that’s the case then EVERYONE needs to STFU with the fucking bitching and shit talking.

If this is how the Seattle SF4 scene is going to be with nothing but a bunch of shit talking and just finding a reason to start a fucking war on this thread, then you can count this mother fucker out. Here’s something to look at. The character select screen from the big Japanese tourney that took place today.
Notice that Sakura, Akuma, Gouken, and Seth were added as playable. I’m assuming that this is a screenshot of the arcade version. With Fei, Dan, and Cammy confirmed, that leaves space for one more character (or if Capcom wants to be gross, a random select box).
It will be T.Hawk and Deejay on one box, each one selectable via punches or kicks like Yun/Yang in New Generation
I really hope its an Alpha or SF3 character.

I’ll calm it down too guys. I’m sorry to come across as a jerk and to make statements that speak for others on their behalf as well. But as far as the “lets play for something more then pride” I was talking in terms of a grudge. I don’t find any reason to grudge match anyone when there is nothing to lose, nothing lost, no lesson learned. As far as playing in general, it aint about that at all. I want to play the best, get better, learn from the best, and strive to become the best…not to play for money, not to play for grudge, but to become a better player.
Seth playable is definitely WTF as he has a fucking JINPACHI move where he sucks you in and stuns you…combo for free. Gouken playable too seems interesting.
And didn’t we already figure out that the last character is going to be Karin?
maybe they toned seth down… Juggles with his suck in move seem like they would be pretty good. Gouken seems decently balanced… will see how him having a combo’off able command grab goes… I hope they also took away seths rediculous fireballs and other stuff, he has like options for wayyy to mansituations. Shoryukens, sonic booms, fabs. ugly.
