Julian, you need to abuse f+rh with Akuma up close. You get a fuggin combo on hit, and you can chain to some safe fireball shit if it’s blocked. I know you’re budget mode right now, but combos wise you can do some shit like…
Also as I understand it, the dive kick from demon flip gives you good advantage on block. I remember some Akuma scrub at Narrows that kept trying to do raging demon without an ultra or super, would keep somehow doing like ex/regular demon flips into flip kicks and I would try to mash throw but I was like stuck there =/. Anyway, according that “tier” list that just came out, the Japanese apparently think Akuma’s pretty good so there must be something dope about him.
I will definitely look into all these things for you! I have a friend who reads japanese very well (unlike me I just look at the numbers! So I’ll find out all I can and post it up.

SF4 is wicked… we’re starting to have comp between the scenes again! I’m telling you guys the PNWM was a GOOD idea… the scenes seem so close now!
As for Dan… well, if you guys have ever met some of the BC guys (Tao, Navid) you’ll know where he’s coming from. Honestly Dan is like the protoge of Tao and Navid combined haha.

Actually, last time I was at narrows was the first day I have ever used Akuma in any game EVER, AFAIK. So, I was just getting used to all his specials. When I go monday I will be in training mode practicing actual crossups and combo stuff, so I can do more damage off of my hits.
Also, I hopefully will be able to do demons a lot faster now that I know there is a faster way to do them than the traditional way. It’s 3 inputs now.
i am sad as well. I was looking forward to seeing some different styles and improve my sim. All canada gave me was a nike print on my ass and said get the fuck out. Lol

Mike, you don’t even know how hype I am yet, I bought a notebook SPECIFICALLY to write down stuff in SFIV to bring to the arcade that could be useful, last time I didn’t even know Akuma had a throw off of his demon flip (I seriously have never used him before).
All day today I was trying to think of cool shit to try out, I am wondering if you can combo after his overhead if you do an early air fb after knockdown, do overhead, then the FB hits, then maybe cr. mk, short hurricane, fierce DP? I wanna try this…
