Something I just wanted to ask mvco, or anyone else that might know:
If I’m waiting in the rotation for SF4, would it help if I played other games while I’m waiting? SF4 can only make so much money at a time even when it’s crowded, so I figured that as long as the arcade is making more money it can’t hurt as a way to improve the pricing situation faster. Or do the profits from a specific game only go towards that particular game?
id like to see an ultracade or a SF game like super turbo in the arcade for a quarter so i can play between rounds lol that would be bomb…

hahah lol… ill go to gw too. ill just play where you guys decide to play. i know there are TONS of random crappy people that play at gw and most people never get any good and people at gw LOVE to talk trash to me. im a people pleaser nowdays thats the only turnoff of gw for me.
Ouch, that hurts. I invest all my spare time (in between fixing the other 190 games I don’t give two shits about) trying to make those cabs not just playable but fully functional. It doesn’t help the fact that not only are we low on techs but I’m the only tech that gives a shit about fighting games and hence the only one that works on them. According to SEGA standard policy as long as everything “works” on the unit I CAN’T spend time working on them, I have to focus on down games. So the fact that I’ve been yelled at and threatened with write ups for spending time on those games to get them perfect for the people that know them and play them the most shows how dedicated I am and I’d appreciate it if you wouldn’t insult me and my co workers. Thank you.

As James said (AKA Y2kenjination) I definitely didn’t try to target you or your co’workers per se. It WAS meant to be said to people of higher ups. I’m sorry that you take offense to this at all. But it’s not as if am trying to say this to create anger or anything. I understand and also appreciate very greatly that you try to spend extra time fixing up fighting games because you enjoy them and understand the complications. Nonetheless, I’ve had several experiences where sticks/buttons were not working correctly.
All in all, I can only speak of my experience when going down to Gameworks. I headed down there every thursday for what seemed like a 4 - 6 month spree. Everytime I was there, I would always hear that Mavel 2nd player was jacked up. At the same time, the game that I had played (3s), a friend told me that s.hk would just randomly come out during his time there.
How is this good representation of how techs/maintenance do their job? It wasn’t directed to you or your coworkers at all…in fact it was directed to the same bull shit coporate standpoint that these corporations don’t give 2 shits about the player…just getting that cash. All in all, sorry you took offense
haha, ya me too…I get a wound a little tight sometimes when it comes to the fighting games at work (or in general), and I think it’s because I care so much about the community that revolves around them. Trying to please so many people within the guidelines I have to follow is really fucking frustrating and has driven me crazy on more then one occasion. So as far as it’s concerned it’s water under the bridge my friend. 
mickey is the homie, im pretty sure he wouldnt be talking shit haha unless its yippy hahaha i hope to see as many people at GW as possible (no scrubs) because that’s where i will be most of my free time hahah. mind and iron, if you look on the SF4 section of the forums there should be the dipswitch code so you can put them in if im not in on monday morning.
nate (mind and iron) and kervin and drew care about the games. they just dont get support so i totally understand the lack of morale. kervin got VF5 up and running, and drew loves to get match of 3S with me every now and then. and we all know mind and iron is down for the fighting game scene. so, im pretty sure this cab is gonna stay crispy.
good session tonight people. They did take the 15 game cap off the machine and Deezo and I sorta shared an alliance for the Sagat 20 game win streak tonight. But Mr. Billy and Mandel took it up to another level with a 31 game win streak with Ken Masters (10 from mandel, 21 from Billy). Also there were a lot of random players out tonight so that was tight.

Frank, our Ryu/Bison match last night was freakin’ EPIC. It was down to the wire…we both had like 2 inches of life. I thought I could cheese you with full screen hadoken’s, and you get me with an unexpected devil’s reverse. Good shit man.
Edit: I must say that you’re utilizing his teleports a lot better now. That shit had me on my toes! Before, it was like “Uhh…okay, random teleport in front of my face. Let me throw you!”
