So far, it looks like the divekick only comes from a teleport, so I don’t think that’s going to be a big problem.
Even so, that teleport is going to be godlike for escaping corners, especially since other characters have their corner escaping abilites nerfed.
im very interested in playing decapre, who knows maybe is a godlike chun
I’m not excited about fighting her. I prefer fighting characters who are more basic and I can convince them to stop the gimmicky stuff and play neutral. She does look interesting though from a gameplay perspective… but I’ll probably pass.
So for now the characters I’m interesting in for Ultra are Chun, Rose, Elena, Viper, and Poison. All females O_o
I agree about not wanting to fight against her… I hate the jumpy, gimmicky, agile characters. I struggle to make them stay put. But I blame that on lack of matchup experience. When all 5 new characters are thrown into the fray, we’re all going to look like loonies that don’t know what’s going on.
i dont want to fight her
i want to main her
I’m sad she has a piano move, when picking up a new character I wanted to avoid that lol. I still cannot piano chun’s cr.fp xx rh.legs, I have to slide. I swear my fingers aren’t capable. I imagine there’ll be more leniency with her move… Hmm, maybe it’ll help me to master pianoing with chun?
dunno
her piano move is like honda HHS, so it all depends on his normals… tho far fierce or far strong xx hhs is kinda cheap unless the move is negative on hit
I have to do the slide too.
Which is weird because I played piano for 10 years.
lol
Worst part of sliding is feeling like a chun failure. I still practice [piano method] every once in a while… There must be a secret people aren’t sharing.
What’s wrong with slide?
Not sure. It’s just me, I feel it’s “cheating” almost, cheating myself I guess. Never heard of pros using the slide method. Not to mention, it’s not 100% accurate and really hard to loop. I don’t have anything against people using it, except for myself. I scream at my fingers to get their shit together.
It’s still a clean input. It’s consistent with practice just like everything else and there’s no significant advantage to doing piano unless you do the p-link thing, I guess. Practice whatever you prefer and don’t sweat it so much. I prefer slide for Chun and piano for hands inputs on other characters, but ymmv. Some players still just press a single kick button really fast to get the legs out so there’s that. At the end of the day, getting it out when you need to is what’s important.
I agree with that. I don’t always piano ex legs off of cr.lk if I land it 3 times I’ll just double tap lk+mk for ex legs to come out, so there’s that I guess.
Valmaster uses the slide, and he’s the most consistent with the loop.
Yeah. I slide too. Only thing with that is with Decapre who I want to try it would be cr.mk to hp hands I assume? In footsies that is. I usually do cr.hp and slide down to hk mk lk mk hk and I assume I’ll have to do cr.mk hp mp lp mp hp and it seems weird to do it from a middle button like that. Shouldn’t take too much practice.
Haaaaaa.
I stand corrected! Didn’t know that, thank you.
Reminds me of in smash. Years ago people would say that using the cstick was cheap and illegitimate and stuff. There’s even certain things you couldn’t do without it like hold the opponent with one ice climber hit cstick up hold z and charge a full upsmash. Those people are whiners. Get results!
Unless you have illegal mods on your controller. Then eff you. lol
