The last hit of EX SBK whiffs on quite a few characters actually. For example, if you ever do the juggle of J. HP x 2 or EX Legs -> EX SBK and notice they don’t spin on the last hit… that’s a common example of where it whiffs and you lose out on a bit of extra damage and it’ll be harder to follow up with Ultra in the corner too since they’re lower to the ground. This isn’t the only situation, just one that’s very easy to reproduce.
EX kikoken is good as a poke and when used properly in FB wars and getting a knockdown from it is actually pretty valuable imo (I’ll love using it vs. Juri). I’ll take all the space I can get from it. It lets her get a new juggle in the corner with the other EX moves, but I don’t know if it’ll be worth burning all the meter for that. We’ll see. EX Kikoken in the corner -> stomps x 3 would be pretty dope if it works though. Maybe that hitbox change isn’t just for new players.
Ugh I hate playing random Akuma players. A lot of them act really smug because usually things go like: 1. I win a round but its really close. 2. Akuma gets a perfect. 3. Akuma almost gets a perfect.
Then they go acting like they’re boss when that is just how the matchup usually goes. Plus its in their favor anyways

Eh I didn’t think that was one of his funnier skits. His Ex-Men stuff is usually pretty funny but I dunno… man hitting on hot chick… that’s new.
Anyways I’m still stuck in my little plateau. I can’t escape!! I think tomorrow I’m going to make myself have a longer play session (usually I max out at around 4 hours) and watch the replays. I’ll probably post a fair amount of them when I get the chance for critique. Just don’t rub it in my face how bad I am xD

To be fair Chun’s wardrobe is a bit… fanservice-y. Especially in a lot of the poses she strikes when she fights and when she is drawn.
Speaking of costumes… if USF4 brings a new batch of costumes (on the off-chance) what would you like to see Chun get?

As much as I like Alternate 2 for the hilarity, it baffles me as to why they’d pass over the obvious for that.

Regarding the Edition Select thing, I have a feeling (now that I think about it) that Edition Select won’t be tournament standard at least until after EVO, and that’s if it does ever become tournament standard at all.
Reason being, if USF4 is played with Edition Select at EVO, I get the impression that a large majority of players will avoid the Ultra versions of their characters and stick with previous versions (especially the armies of Sagats, Akumas, Yuns and Cammys), and let’s not forget when Ken could link into sweep. I think it will take a lot of the variety of the game away (even though Edition Select technically improves the game’s depth).
My guess is that for EVO 2014, Edition Select won’t be allowed. But for 2015 and beyond (if SF4 stays alive that long), who knows?
I highly doubt edition select will be tourny viable. Like you said, it would be abused.

Ibuki is not that bad imo. Of course vortex hurts but kunai are easier to handle than say Viper or the divekick characters.
I think I agree with majority of Nashfan’s list [link], I’d just change up a few (Adon and Blanka being the most prominent).
