Third Strike.
What’s the problem with this thread, and why are you guys getting so agitated? I only created this to have other people put their opinions, and break down each game as to why they think “game a” is better than “game b”. I don’t see any problem. P.S. - I just signed up yesterday for this website, and this is only my third topic made, and I’m ALREADY getting trampled on. i.e.: “I’m going to give you negative reputation. Partially because I don’t like this thread, and partially because I really want to be able to hover over your rep tag and have it say “SFIII is at strike three”.” In every single website I’ve signed up to for forums, every topic has a rude or sarcastic remark on it - I can’t get away from that! Are these forums supposed to be fun or what?
No, these forums aren’t really fun, they’re really for just of a bunch of elitists.
The only problem with the topic like this is:
A) It’s been done many times before
and
B) The general populace here isn’t mature or open-minded enough to discuss their opinions without being childish or getting offended. That you can readily see, people just say so-and-so game sucks without having a good reason for it. People slam games without even really playing them…“anything but Marvel and 3rd Strike sucks, isn’t good enough, isn’t worth my TIME, is boring”.

Actually the reason no one debates over the games is because its pointless, if we had a legitimate “marvel sucks” thread you’d get death threats for your opinion. SRK is a community dedicated to (2-D) Fighting games so why would we nit pick and divide a community about some random guy who thinks his thread special? i mean how long did it take for people to accept SSBM (people still dont) the SSBM thread would go on for pages about this and that its pointless.

they like and dislike each game for different reasons some more then others but they dont bitch and whine about it so leave it at that and stop talking about “the srk illuminati”

3S is great, don’t get me wrong. I think the players who beast at it deserve a lot of respect, but to find it more fun than CvS2 is crazy.

I prefer sf3. My only real beef with the game is that the game just gets repetitive. Last showdown there was at least 1 ken on every tv. I know denjin ryu has been making the rounds but the game is still losing its luster.
CVS2 is just crap. sure it can be played at a high level but so much of the game is just sloppy. invisible extended hit boxes, rc’s, jump cancels, crazy glitches, not to mention all kinds of things that work with no real reason for it. revolving around sprite issues, not to mention all kinds of shitty matchups. Plus ive seen people play cvs2 at a high level and have absolutely no sense of how to play fighters. if you ever see Dr. No(previously know as ultimate czar) you’ll know what i mean.
CVS2 feels like it was slopped together in like a week.
Capcom will never do better than Vampire Savior if you ask me.
If I had to pick only one… it would be CvsSNK2. They are both great, but CS2 has cooler characters, and a hell of a lot more things to do (grooves, starts). There are also more characters that are real threats than in Third Strike. You can take some scrubby characters, give them the right groove, and they’re serious contenders.
Both games amazing. Why all the pussies saying “lock the thread”. Give the guy a fucking break.

You guys are all thinking too much… First of all, since I’m new here, I wasn’t even thinking about what type of topic I was creating - I was just excited to create a topic on a new website that I’ve signed up for. Also, there couldn’t be a better topic for this website… Sure - it’s been done many times before, but why not have some fun and make it again. To discuss game comparisons is one of the funnest things to do in my opinion. If you don’t like my thread, don’t post in it. Laughing at the fact that I got warning points for this thread.

Seriously… This is SRK… We know drama.
I never really liked any of the VS. series by Capcom, I always stick to 3s, SF2:Turbo, and KOF(including MoTW). Capcom vs. SNK 2 is just to slow paced for me, it just felt like a buffed up MUGEN. I’ll play it every now and then, but it just doesn’t have that “meatiness” to it.
I enjoy Third Strike more, but you do get sick of seeing Shoto’s and Chun’s everywhere(I’ve never played a good Yun). I pull out CvS2 because everyone I know has a basic concept of playing, but with 3s my cat could probally play better.
