I like Sweet Poison’s idea. I say you make the league a pay to play league. My hockey coach made a statement to me in college about our hockey dues. He said although the money doesnt help that much, it gives people a reason to keep playing and a reason to commit. If people put money down then they are more likely to play there matche and keep dedicated. I say everyone interested pays $5 fee that goes toward the championship then you could keep 50% for your self and give the rest away to the champion or the champion and the runner up. You could also turn the smaller tournaments like Survivor series and War games into a pay to play as well having people pay $2-3 to enter the tournament. Like you said by now most of the people that are still playing are dedicated members, so those are the people that will likely be able to and willing to pay a small fee. We could also have a free and paid division as well and see how everything goes. Either way if you need any help running things let me know and I’m sure others would be willing to give you a hand with what ever you need.
Also you mentioned people don’t like playing multiple characters. You could do something like keep people the choice of how many characters they want up to 5-6 or whatever then you could charge a $1 per character. Then we could create divisions from there will hopefully no overlap and mirror matches of ones self.

Thanx for the kind words. Always appreciative for the feedback, especially the good ones! Your idea for the $5.00 fee is very unique and something I had not thought of at all. Part of the reason was that I always wanted to make the league free for everybody. Also, I wasn’t sure of the legal ramifications of making money while using the PlayStation Network and Capcom software. But I really like your ideas.

And like wwstar30 said, the dollar amount would be more for your time and troubles if anything. I dont think anyone would look at it as a profit type gig. Seriously the work you put into this is priceless. Your site is beautfiul. It is not cheesy. I could go on and on and I think for the most part most would concur with what I’m saying.

I also wouldn;t mind paying the 5 bucks. I think you should get paid for your efforts as well SAL, and it is an incentive for any good player to join as he could win some dough.
