Thanks for taking the time to put that together Sal a great read and a great video. best of luck to everyone in the final four and I hope to see everyone else next season that got eliminated. This year just like the other two have been tremendous fun although I wasn’t able to make as many of the tournaments as I would of liked it still has been a great season and the most fun I have ever had out of a video game. Von might be a day or two before we can play got my knee scoped yesterday so might take me a day or so before I can bend it.
Oooohhh…Injury Report. Haduken’s Rufus is hobbled going into the Final Four! He is a “game time decision”.
Thanx for the compliment, bro. I probably have more fun writing up these reports than actually playing. Time-consuming, but worth the time.
lol

Thanx for the vids, HADUKEN. We can get together so I can record the videos and post them in one complete vid. Great match to end the season! Great season!
Sounds good man just let me know when your online already itchin for season 4 after that match.
^ Man, I really thought I was going to lose vs Haduken3’s Rufus. I was down 2 to 0 in that fourth set and with very few life. I remember thinking that yeah this could be the end of me, but then I remembered my Blanka hero, Mizoteru, and decided to sort change it up to his playstyle (more patient and less risk) and (with some determination as well) it payed off!
GGs to Haduken3 for an awesome finals. You are a very worthy opponent and because of that the victory tasted that much sweeter. So again thanks for a great battle and anytime you want to play, I’ll be more than happy to.
And thanks to you SAL for hosting yet another great and unforgettable season! I look forward to another one if you do decide to do one, or any future events you decide to do.
lol thats where everything changed, great games xenon hope to see you in the next championship.
Congrats on a great run, I’ll still be playing SFIV and have no intention on slowing down. If you do decide to bring the league back, You could look more into people having more characters maybe more than 4. That way extremely tough members like Xenon could match up better with weaker oppenents when they are matched with there 4th a 5th character against another persons main. 10 man league could easily turn into 50 characters and plently of different matches.
Nice idea. I would go with it, and it would be fun to play 3rd, 4th, and 5th fighter matches. But some members never liked playing two characters to begin with. Also, if we only have 10 members and everyone uses 5 fighters, that is a possability of 45 different matches for each fighter if we use the season 3 format. I am strongly against matching up members when they have to play every matchup at one time. Specifically, if the previous season required every member’s fighters to play each other, it creates advantages for one member. For example, if your Rufus & Balrog were required to play my Ken & Fei Long each, one of us would have a big advantage when playing. If I decide to play Fei Long matches versus Balrog & Guile first, I could potentially throw both matches in an attempt to scout your two fighters. Then, I can play my main, Ken, with the big advantage of already playing your Balrog & Guile. This was the main reason why member’s fighters were separated into different divisions & we never had to worry about this scenerio last season. If we use last season’s format, it would create these problems if we play 4 or 5 fighters each.
Using the old Champions & Contenders format, we could have plenty of member mirror-matches. That is a lot of non-action weeks for members. However, the old 2-week format allows each of the 4 or 5 fighters each have their own rank & better guage your skill level with each one. The original format is ideal for a smaller league with mutiple fighters.
Still, this is worth thinking about…hmmmm
Sal I have been reading all your emails and still following the league. I had some unforseen cirmcumstances and still do. My basement is still under construction so I have no wired connection for my gaming. Yes many have seen me on-line but I’m just taking advantage of the wireless capability of the ps3. I’ve been playing MW3 survival mode single player mode. I’m not into the multi-player. I played a little SFIV but just isnt the same as being hard wired which is what killed me in the league…too much lag for me and my opponents.
Anyways I’m hoping Street Fighter x Tekken does well. I think I will stick with it as opposed to SFIV which I still feel way behind the curve and UMC3 which while I love all the characters I just can’t get into the game as is just seems so fast paced and chaotic.
In closing I want you to know that your league has been top notch. Your commitment, dedication, organization, follow through, the whole nine yards is and has been amazing. I dont think I have ever seen anything ran as efficient or as smoothly as what you have done. It speaks volumes abou you as a person. I really do hope you do something else with the league again. A suggestion I would make would be have people pay a $5 deposit to your paypal account. They then would get three strikes. Ist offense is warning, 2nd offense $2.50 goes to you, 3rd offense they are out of the league and lose remaining $2.50. For those who finish the league they could either get their money back or put it towards a pool for the big finale which would include all players left remaining in the league. I would easily pay $5. Just a thought.
