Ok real talk so my ps3 got the Yellow ring again (yes again) and i am now left without a ps3 its been about of week since it happened which gave me some time to make a decision. I am unfortunately deciding to drop out of the league untill i get some money for a new ps3. The way things are now that wont be for awhile so im stepping down and letting one of the new comers show there stuff. I have full intentions of coming back once i get a new PS3 but even then ill have to earn my way back in from the bottom of the bunch 
. Till then this thread will be my only means of keeping in touch. Hope for the best

Super Brawl would still be a lot of fun as the Euros would battle it out with the possibly the Euro champ reaching the Final 4. But that is all just speculation for now.
Damn, sorry to read this, ND. Hate to lose a Final 4 finalist from Super Brawl. What kind of PS3 did you have? 60gb?
I got my own second YLOD a couple of weeks ago as well. I had 2 original 60GB backwards compatiable PS3s dating back to 2006-2007. One was in my game room while the other was in the living room used mostly for movies, BluRay, etc. Last March 2009, my gaming PS3 went down. Paid +$160 & got a refurbished 60gb PS3. Then, two weeks ago, my other original 60gb PS3 died. I had to pay another +$150 and just got my refurbished 120gb PS3 slim yesterday. Fortuantely, I had a backup each time to continue playing. I chose to get the slim PS3 the second time around as I hardly use the features of the 60gb PS3.
Plus, I’m convinced the launch units are defective. I’ve had two die on me. I’m hoping the refurbised 60gb unit I have now had the overheating issue resolved. It runs a lot quieter than my previous 2 units. The slim should be also better off than the older, original units.
Perhaps we need to signup for a Repeat Customer discount with Sony! I’ll let your opponents know. We look forward to your return

As for the split league i think it is a good idea. Dont get me wrong i like playing against the US players regardless of wether it lags or not. But the prospect of not having to stay up untill 3am to get my matches done sounds good to me.
Either way you decide to go ahead though is good with me.

I beat ultimateclouds rufus 2-1 it went to the last round and i pulled out a victory BUT lots of controversy on this one
at first i set up the room and i forgot to set it to best of 5 i won the second round and was mad at myself for not having it be best of 5 but we restarted as him being host, after i beat him i send a a gg’s message and he replys with a message stating that my play is garbage and i am a amateur. Normally not matter who i win or lose to in this league i always show my opponents respect this is the first and only time i have ever encountered anytype of disrespect and everyone is entitled to their opinion but honestly that type of stuff makes me glad he is not the champion of this league, i am not saying i am the best blanka in the world, (heck not even in this league , shoutouts to skrface) but to downplay a victory i was proud against a opponented i respectED really makes me think that some people may not like my playstyle and if you don’t i understand but until longhorn himself kicks me out of the league i will continue to play in my style, with my character and play against anyone because i respect everyone in the league equally, heck i brought deltron and i am trying to recruit two other really good members to this league because i wouldn’t want to be in anyother league but if it starts to get filled with players like ultimatecloud than i would have to rethink my outlook on the league, as of now one rotten apple does not ruin the bucket for me i enjoy playing everyone and try to get along with everyone equally sorry for the long post i guess i am just very opinoinated and again would like to thank longhorn for all the hard work he puts into this league
I got 2 local players that can help me with that match up here in VA (magneto maniac being the notable one) so the match would have been interesting to say the least. Alot of people in the league have faced my ibuki and i have gotten a good response so i am confident in my ability to use her
Yea man i was feeling good against my chances with both my fighters in the Gold division. I know i can beat anyone in the Gold division from past casuals and stuff (with the exeption of ZTI who i never played). As for my PS3 it was the 60gb with the SD card slots and extra controller slots that got the Yellow light back before the season started which i got a replacement for. The one i have now is a standard 60gb ps3 which lasted me less than 2 months 
ripped off. Right now im just hopping my next investment on a ps3 is worth it.
Ultima is a good guy and an even better player but i have witnessed his Saltiness towards losing to players he believes he’s better than. Don’t take it too seriously cause he’s acted the same way towards other clearly superior players (wont mention his name) but yea he’s just Salty.
@ Ultima Level up bro pros lose to Randoms across the board (not saying Flash is a bad player just in general this happens). Especially with this format its best out of 3 so you have sufficient time to adjust to a player just look towards your next match and learn the match up
He did the same to me when I beat him before as well. He thinks he is good, don’t worry about it.

I’ll let CLOUD speak for himself on this issue. And just to clarify, I would never kick out a member becasue of their “style”. I may lose everytime to a Balrog player who turtles the whole match, but I’m not going to criticize that player for his style of play. Good for him, but more importantly, bad for me since I can’t find a way around that style. It’s the reason he won, and I lost. And why he will be ranked higher than me in the league.
I was chatting with a member online last nite about his loss to a player he felt was not any good with a specific character. I told him to look at himself instead of complaining about his style. He even threatened to never play a person with that style again. I then told him to go look at the videos on the SFCCL site to see a loss by that member with that same character.
I will (and have) kicked out a member for disrespecting other members. That is one of the rules of the league - “Finally, respect your fellow SFCCL members. We are all here to have fun.” If I want to play a bunch of talk-smacking blowhards, I’ll play Ranked Matches all nite long. When designing this league, I envisioned a league of members that would be very competitive, but I wouldn’t stand for a bunch of **** talking. I did kick a member out of the league last year for doing just that to me after some casuals. I’m too old for that stuff now. And the reason why I stop going to arcades (if you guys remember)!
Btw, congrats on the win, FLASHFAN. You should be proud of that win against a former Gold Champion. There have only been 5 in the history of the SFCCL.

It does run a lot quieter than my other previous 60gb units. That is also why I chose to get a slim 120gb PS3 this last time, in hopes of that the overheating issue was only a problem with the launch consoles only.
You should still have a 90-day warranty on the refurbished PS3, no?
Just do what i did an install additional cooling.

no lag at all it was all smooth and we had a couple of spars sessions afterword his adon is tough for sure , trying to prep or pratice my next two characters for when teh war games and all these fun event come around
