SFCCL Season 2 (online PS3 league)

Im in Pool O Skarface where you at

Sorry to see you go, SBL. Haven’t seen you online much. The forums that the SFCCL operates on are great, but the primary communication is the PSN. If you can’t get online to check messages, then I’m assuming you can’t play online either? Neither will work, especially the ladder. you are the second to player to drop out from the original 40 after Week 1. MARCOPOLO177 is also dropping out due to not being able to get online. He said he will be back tho.

As for the international players, I had a great session with ANAKINY2K the other nite. No lag on either part.

Auto-Promotions coming for Week 2 to those that played their matches this week.

SKRFACE13 isn’t on these forums. Contact him over on the StreetFighter4forums.com. Check the SFCCL thread under Online Forums or look for the SFCCL group.

lost my match vs Elgeneral
Ibuki vs guile 2-0 his way

Im not ganna lie i was a little salty after the match i felt like i should have won the first match and the second match Elgeneral got a lucky break hitting me with a wake up ultra which i purposely baited out but still got hit by it :frowning: somehow. Not to say his guile is bad its quite frustrating at times when you cant get in and he has the lead. I wonder how much this loss will set back my Ibuki?? either way ima stick with her untill someone 2-0’s me again or something then ill probably go back to my Sagot or Juri

EG is probably the best Guile in the league, and has a long history of success in the league, so don’t get to down about it.

losing an 8vs9 match will put yuor fighter at #12 for week 2. Winner of the 8vs9 Hot Match goes to #3 next week fighting for a shot at the division champion in week 3.

Good luck with everyone’s matches headn out to vegas in the am, wont be back till monday.

GL. Have fun.

Whats the honor system? Im kinda lost lol. New to this

Be honest about your win/loss. In other words if you lose dont say you won to try and get a decider to go in your favor.

In reality there is not really a need for the honor system now as the matches are recorded on your ps3 and any discrepancy could be easily resolved by watching the replays now… though it is still nice not to have to go that far to prove a win >.<

The Honor System was more necessary for the league when we played the original game, STREET FIGHTER IV. It required everyone to report their results of their matches, win or lose. Admit defeat, and get ready for your next match. I thought this would be a big problem when I first thought about creating a league online since there would be no definitive way to determine who was lying.

With the new replay system, and the ability to save them to your HDD, any discrepancy can clearly be resolved. In the official SFCCL history of 1,400+ matches, there have only been 3 instances where someone lied about the results. All 3 were easily resolved, and the lying member was kicked out of the league and banned from ever playing again. I will mention in my next weekly blog on Monday that the winning member save the replay of their match onto their HDD, at least until the next week of matches. Just in case there is a disagreement. The saved matches can always be deleted later. The matches are in the Battle Log as long as they don’t continue playing afterwards, but that is only temporary for about 20 matches or so.

One guy continued to say he won despite the match being posted on YouTube. (shaking his head)
Why lie? As if you aren’t going to ever lose? Or want to advance your fighter to fight even better competition?
‘A liar will always lie - it’s what they do.’

I will leave my opponents in a pool of feces

SKRFACE didn’t go after all, unfortunately. I’m assuming HADUKEN didn’t make the second day:

Found this on a 3rd party site (EVO site sux). Complete lack of explaination or details as to when, how, who, or why the pool play works. Oh well, still fun to watch.

Week 2 Bronze & A Division correction: SFCCL.weebly.com - Blog

Lost both my matches to Hedr, definitely NOT playing anybody with red bars from here on out.

lost with seth rufus match pending

Thanx for the results, CLOUD. Your Seth is off to a rough start.

I posted this on the SF4Forums:

I would be open to the possability of splitting the league into a North/Central/South American region and a European region. Perhaps, the two regions could play each other perhaps occasionally, but mostly keep to their side of the pond due to lag issues.

For the Europeans, would you guys be interested in your own European-only divisions? We could have 16 members / 32 fighters / 2 divisions of Euros only going into Week 3 comprised of active members and those players currently on the Waiting List (like MR FLOWERS). You guys might already be used to playing each other, and would prefer to play the American players.

I was always opposed to the idea b/c we didn’t have enough members to support a Euro-only region, but that is slowly becoming a mute argument. Thoughts?

Blog now posted to get more feedback:

Oh you wait until I’m gone to do this. I see how it is. :razzy:

It would be nice to split the league based on location. But i’m fine with playing red bars as well its all for fun anyways. How would the Super Brawl work then.
