Correct. You must win your matches to continue playing. There will be an ongoing score and the first team to get 8 points (1 point awarded for defeating a fighter from the other team) wins the Ryder Cup. If the first round ends 7-1, the lone fighter will have to fight the rest of the team one at a time (from lowest to highest ranked fighter) to win the Ryder Cup. A team cannot win until all fighters are defeated.

SO SORRY EVERYONE!!! Life has been rough lately! So sorry for the late results i know you guys have been waiting. To get to the point i beat haduken’s rufus 2-0 with my blanka, ggs haduken, i can’t believe i am capt in all honesty i feel like there are better players in the gold division that deserve to go but if these are the cards i was dealt i will play them to my best abilities. So me and deltron actually talked about who would go if i would my match and we actually debated between fran and him. Fran as we all know is a amazing player (probably better than me), and deltron has proven to have the best ryu in the league (IMHO) and the deciding factor is that i have seen deltron in the clutch perform and step it up personally and i wouldn’t trust anyone else than my bro to back me up so i do indeed choose deltron as cloud predicted. Team NA will take this ryder cup following the lead of our champion which i see praticing everyday.

Current scores will be listed as 2-0 Americas Team / 5-3 European Team / 4-4 Tie
Once defeated, the fighter is eliminated from the tournament (winning fighter moves on to the next round)
In the case of uneven teams in the following rounds, the team with the lower number (losing team) of remaining fighters will be matched up highest vs lowest ranked
The team with more fighters advancing (winning team) will have their highest ranked fighters advancing to the next round via a bye
All fighters from a team must be defeated in order to win the Ryder Cup (8 points required)
All involved fighters will not have a regular weekly match to worry about playing. All fighter’s ranks will be cemented for Week 9, and regualr matches will resume for the involved fighters in Week 10.
The tournament doesn’t officially get under way until Week 9 begins (Monday, October 18th), but feel free begin setting up times. Hopefully this tournament will be completed in two weeks, but we are prepared to play into Week 10.

Yay go team! Flash I’ll give you some training vs Dhalsim tonight. I just hope my opponent does not lag me to death. A laggy Ken can be extremely difficult to defeat @_@. I hope i get at least three bars, so we’ll see.
I think this should be very interesting and fun at the same time. I really like the makeup of this team, as it’s loaded with a strong cast. We should be able to keep the title in the Gold. GO TEAM NA!

Ouch I’m tellin ya, man… the Zangief’s in this tournament are a huge threat. I’ve played Sabishii & Klesk and they both bodied me a little while back. Nice try Elgeneral ! I hope SKRface13 will be able to pull through, Blanka has the 6-4 advantage so ! I just hope I don’t get bodied by Abel.
Sabishi played pretty beastly. Lag didn’t help with my execution at all, but you just gotta play through it, and I just could do it. It was tough once I got trapped in the corner, and I just couldn’t escape. Someone else is going to have to take him out!
