It’s reasonably easy to tell when a mid / low is coming especially when you’re getting pressured so I’m pretty confident Gill’s parry is gonna be far and away better than Ryu’s overall, it’ll actually be used.

It’s not like the parries in SFV get used often during actual pressure anyway, they’re pretty trash when you can’t OS them in any form.

Good. Parries are a trash mechanic and should stay buried.

I hate 3S parries, I like the GI system of SC2 and the low parries of T7 though.

Add the parries from Battle Fantasia and Akatsuki Blitzcampf as another examples of well implemented parry systems.

Garou’s just defend is way, way better than parries.

Both of these reasons suck.

V-Triggers suck, good idea, bad implentation.
Just like the rest of SFV, good idea bad execution.

That aside I’m really happy with Yumi, seems to be my type of character.
Stronk Projectiles, Stronk Damage off of basic thinks, Dummy Mixups even a cat without thumbs could do and big boobs to have something nice to look at while playing this character.

And Neos Smug smiles makes my day, they brought her over wonderfully.

Now I just have to relearn CTB after not playing it for basically a year.

It worked just fine in SFEX, and it works just fine in FEXL now (which has normal stage corners like any other SF). If Arika can do it and Dimps can’t, that’s a failure on the part of Dimps, not perspective-correct visuals.

Personally I think it’s entirely an aesthetic thing, and that SF4 players were complaining that “3D attacks don’t work correctly”… especially because if were an actual gameplay issue, Gill wouldn’t have it. But we’ll see how much people complain about Gill’s hitboxes “not working properly.”

No, just no.
They have some weird added bonus shit that makes it even worse than sf3 parries, like giving you life back, negating zoning even more than parries.
They also allow you to do “free” guarcancel attacks.

But Falke is settled as my main for SFV with Gief as my secondary.
Only way for me to drop Falke is if they buff her to top 5.

VS2 being Green Hand is cool but he’s incredibly reliant on flex to fight characters in neutral so it’s a severe trade on his part.

He practically can’t win vs. some characters without being able to tank pokes and return his st.mp.

None of that “Started on the bottom, now we here!” nonsense, eh?

Green hand and VT2 would be a serious option at that point.

VT 1 and green hand would be over kill on projectiles… So gief probably will get it as his second v skill…smh

Im almost certain its green hand because this game hates projectiles.
