Some of you posted streams of CvS2 Japanese locals last thread and I’m apparently too incompetent to find them (other than that teamspooky stream of that recent tourney). Who do I follow on twitch/youtube for that goodness and of other games from that time? I already follow both acho channels on YouTube.

Gameacho on youtube has what you need. Huge playlists of many arcade games. Look up Psychorarity on YT as well.

Every time vega gets hit he should lose an article of clothing.

His VS2 should be him throwing those same articles.

A couple other characters have this same problem but more in the sense that they’re clearly built and balanced around their current V-Skill. What the fuck is Laura going to get for example? Balrog?

After watching more gameplay on this video, the comparision with SFV is very on point.
All the normals seem to have very short range when compared to GGXX and GGXrd.

So is it the new style for devs to wage war on

  • Zoning
  • long range buttons
  • chip kills
  • good oki

? Did i miss anything?

I just hate SFV.
Karin’s ex dash beats fireballs. Fine. You bait it, does a j. hp. It whiffs because yes and you take a full 300+ combo on landing.
You try to lame, the guy decides to ignore that you are playing, you take one jump in and you are in the corner.

Why do we all think it was championship edition? We aren’t simplifying a longer Luke dialogue, we aren’t correcting the spelling of Kellogs marketing Dept. Even Guacamelee has ship in their parody subtitle.

I’m questioning my whole life right now and need answers.

I feel like mortal kombat is that guy at the office who hasn’t caught the disease despite being surrounded by ill coworkers.

That is to say…i think mortal kombat is struggling with some of the things I mentioned (and some i forgot too). Like sfv the zoning isn’t all that viable own its own, long range buttons are sketchy (slow, poor active frames, super minus on block), and as you know mk11 has like 7 universal options on wakeup for every character. It’s not as bad as sfv but when i play it i notice similarities that bug me.

Idk about those other games besides what yall tell me so i can safely give you the rest. But bottom line i don’t like how hard these games try to make me play a certain way.

Eh, MK has a lot of problems of its own.
They are perhaps not commiting the same dumb design choices, but due their intent of always doing everything differemt they make worst design decisions all the time.
MK11 is perhaps the 1st one to have desined well enough where the cons dont outweight the pros, but still, think of it MK having aids while SF and the nu GG have cancer.

SFV is turning me into a tsundere.

In the span of a minute, I was super pissed at how trash I was playing, how Ryu is completely ass and how this game doesn’t let me just press long buttons and chuck shit at people like a monkey.(no offense to @Evil_Canadian )

Then I started hitting basic confirms like HK Donkey after Axe Kick and I was mad hype because I was doing things intentionally.

And now, hours after I played the game, here I am, thinking about how lame I can play Gill and trying to stop myself from buying Champion Edition before his frame data is out.

Should I look for some kind of therapy?
