Thinking back, I actually owe a lot to that guy. He got me both into SF2 and MK (and countless other games) as well as hip-hop. Dude was bumping 36 Chambers when it came out and we were like 7-8?
I grew up in a predominantly white neighbourhood so I hadn’t heard anything like that before, and that was well before it was cool to listen to hip-hop, which in my age group/area seemed to have started when Wu-Tang’s Triumph came out.
I remember my classmates playing the OG GG on psx and all they bother is trying to hit each other with destroyers.
They want me to play that game with them, So I was left alone playing A3 World Tour and FF8 on the PSX rental shop where you pay for an hour rate. I don’t own a PSX during that time.
By the looks of it they have tons of fun, but I didnt see that fun, I just like the design of the characters. My first GG was GGx…
So at some point in this match against Ryu, he knocks me down, dashes forward, I react with a throw, he dashes back, and still manages to punish me with a st.HK
I know that back dashes have throw inv but goddamn
Just take the throw. Trying to stop stupid shit that happens on knockdown that allows Ryu to dash is fruitless.
Hold down back and just take the throw. The Ryu will look like a complete idiot when he tries to do a setup.
Hard to know for sure on a japanese article. Could go either way tbh.
I find it weird that they would treat Strive like a spinoff due to all the hype machine behind it and they have a history of big system changes between series. (Again, not to this extent.)
Daisuke may or may not have been drunk too. So many inconsistencies…
