This effing game.
I was one match from ultra plat, then wifi Birdie, Argentinean Ken and Wifi Rog.
Like i said, a gg for small brain people.
Now I kinda wanna look up some pre-SFV release interviews.
This stuff is eerily similar, and honestly, it’s freaking me out.
I swear they designed Sakura’s normals with the intent of them whiffing everything, is it too much to ask for normals to have good range?
#2 is kind of a silly thing to complain about. We all knew going in that it would be a reboot and most definitely separate from Xrd.
Strive is designed to make newer players win by introducing more “One chance kills” (it’s why the damage is so high).
Oki was specifically downgraded to not allow advanced players to put new players in positions where they feel they are defenseless.
Sounds like SFV all over again, smh.
Game is dead on arrival.
This is literally the first time I’ve seen anyone say this.
In terms of story, this was set up to be Xrd’s sequel, and this interview is the first evidence of a possibility to the opposite.
In terms of gameplay, we all knew this was going to be different from the jump, but definitely not to this extent.
ArcSys is making the exact same mistakes that led Capcom to the hole its in now and unlike SF, GG isn’t borderline nuke proof.
This new interview is also a stark contrast to the first interview where they vehemently claimed they wouldn’t dumb down the game and focus on visual clarity.
They’re intentionally hiding the goddamn RISC gauge, how is that visual clarity!?
It would be weird if the new Guilty Gear is a spin-off when it’s called StrIVe and follows immediately after Xrd.
They should just keep that logic on mobile gaming.
Sun Chase Moon (Round 1) stage theme:
They are probably changing their tune after the backlash.
Yes the game has picked interest from potential (stress on potential) players.
But most of the stablished player base are not on board with it.
Eh, GG2: Overture was all but a spinoff that was the trigger to the story actually going somewhere.
With that said, I’ve seen a couple GG spinoffs. (Shoutout to Dust Strikers)
This ain’t one. Daisuke is trying to save face at best. They’re intentionally on the exact same fallacy that a lot of FG devs are getting into.
Dumbing down games do not work. Want that sweet, sweet casual cash? Invest in single-player content and make good, likeable characters.
SFV would be deader than disco if it weren’t for its roster and how popular it is.
For all the fumbles Soul Calibur VI did, and from what I heard, there was a legitimate effort to fix them in Season 2, it was and is the best FG for the casual crowd.
Customization for legacy characters, CaS, 2 story modes, the game straight up looks good.
It’s a game that looks and feels like a polished, full price game and it shows.
SC should be getting a lot more love from the community and the devs. (Where the fuck is the Tekken Training Mode update for it?)
Please ignore what I said this morning about loving this game.
Not bad, but not the most memorable either. Honestly pretty forgettable, unlike Gill’s theme.
I can not manually time a c.LP meaty with Kage for the life of me. The wakeup dummy is throwing me like 80% of the time.
No! You will continue to LOVE it and watch it on twitch so it can get 39K viewers like at NARF again! That way we get more announcements about announcements! Then costumes.
Did he wear a leather jacket and travel cross country with you to find yourself as a human being? (Corny “Wizard” joke is falling flat)
I wasn’t talking about the story. I know fuck all about any story in any fighting game. I assumed we were talking about gameplay. If that guy was complaining about the story then disregard my comment.
