Brother I have bought so many fighting games I’ve barely played I could open a rental shop if they weren’t all digital.
Enjoy it for what it is. Hopefully it clicks but if not should still be fun to fuck around with.

I’ve taught alot of them FG’s. As long as people like competition they can get FG’s.
Its that initial hurdle with the inputs and controlling the game that is the hardest.
Now, they aren’t all super good, but that’s not important.

Oh… well it depends. Alot of it is governed by gamepass.
So at the moment its, Borderlands 3, Sea of Thieves, Halo 5, Gears 5, and Remnant from ashes.
Though I’m playing the Star Wars JEDI game at the moment.
We are talking about getting Anthem as its only $10.

Yeah I started and when I got the “trials for this character is complete” screen I actually said “what the fuck” out loud. I’m an execution scrub and breezed through them.

Yeah. Actually DBFZ is in a pretty good spot execution wise. There is some stuff that rewards practice and takes real execution. But nothing goes crazy far, and execution is never a barrier to functionality.
This sounds like me and Destiny. I bought both at launch because I’m a sucker.
Both Destiny games are garbage.

Random select is pretty fun in SF5.

Bro I saw you playing that game on psn. I think it is fun playing casually (as in, you and your friends drink beers and don’t know how to play optimally) but the meta for that game is so boring. Lots of situations where you get thrown into fuzzies over and over in the same blockstring. Not the good style of broken team game.

To be fair, most players online do not play at that level, so that’s not a problem until you rank up alot.
But yeah, at the highest level, the game is not in a great way right now.

The best thing about random select is that you can get pretty far just doing the things you hear people complain about when talk about a character.
So my Rashid was basically all Light Mixer, c.lk, and c.hp lol
Random select bison is also godtier

I also like random select because you get matchups that aren’t super relevant.
For example, if you get Ryu, you may be perfectly fine because the other guy probably isn’t getting Rashid.
It also evens out skill gaps a bit which can be fun.
