Is Poongko going to play Seth tho? They’re pretty damn different now, what made Seth a Poongko character in SFIV didn’t really transfer over to SFV Seth. And I don’t mean because Seth is a lady now
Seth looks like the mixups and cheapness is still in the game
Jazz remixes? That’s my shit.
What band is it? Can’t see on mobile without opening the vid, but I know insaneintherain is good.
Poongko outright said he doesn’t know the character anymore. Seth is completely different now. Wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t pick them up.
I dunno dude… No teleport, no SPD, no stretching fullscreen st.Fierce, no river dance… No EX Hyakaretsukyaku into river dance into left/right tick throw SPD into vortex y’know.
Honestly from the footage we’ve seen SFV Seth looks kinda tame in comparison. Maybe she’ll get some VS1 mix-ups with the suck in part of the Tanden Engine like SFIV but besides that I dunno. She seems fair. Well, fair for SFV.
Karin was good because Bonchan and Punk kept winning with her and people are mindless sheep.
The point with her is:
-
high damage
-
Excellent Oki from anything
-
highly confirmable cr.MK
Oki is the main thing, as it always is. Watch any random Karin scrub at low ranks getting somehow destroyed in neutral and then randomly win a round off a conversion into KD.
Also I am still available for play PC people!
Didn’t Cammy take a big hit on that in S4? Guess that’s why people are calling her a mid-tier now.
What is it with people wanting anti-airs to require “commitment”, when the return for a successful AA is typically only a fraction of what you get for a successful jump-in?
I’ve heard that line of reasoning several times just this week, and it keeps baffling me. I really don’t get the hate for solid, consistent AA buttons.
I don’t want to commit to my jump, so AAs should take all the commitment.
I want to eat 100 damage at most for my jump-in, while I want to deal 400 in return everytime I land one.
Thats just fair and balanced.
Cammy is not mid-tier, she’s bottom of the barrel
People want AAs to have commitment but also land enough damage to be a deterrent.
SFV has neither for the most part.
Yes, I’m still salty at that one G stuffing all my Axe Kick AAs with body splash.
Bold, bold words. Right after Doctrine made to Warlord too.
Even though she isn’t stellar rn, I find it hard to believe she’s bad.
it’s just that the barrel is on top of a human totem made by the rest of the cast with Juri as the base
Yeah, that sounds more believable now.
I really had to think for a moment about which move us the river dance lol. Good ol jump, cr.mk.
I’m curious to know if Seth in SFV can keep up with his previous crazy rushdown self.
The video above me is too too funny. Whoever decided to put Yoshi’s Island music right when going down the list of changes for Alex on the -6 on block Flash Chop is a humor monster.
But it kinda got me thinking… Is Alex > Birdie???
When an AA is too good it allows you to disregard spacing and you can be more loose in how you hit big buttons.
So it’s not really an issue that the AA works well so much as its an issue that it gives too much freedom over what you do on the ground.
In sfv it lead to bison and his old crouch lp for example being able to swing long heavy buttons with huge reward with impunity.
Ehhhhhh, I dunno if it’s a good example because cr. LP is as low commitment as it gets.
Hell, he doesn’t even lose charge to do it.
Karin denies backrise escapes on any light/mid confirm due to orochi > command dash being infallible oki on both rises.
You can’t get out of her pressure once she starts it, similar to Cammy. She also had one of the last few unnerfed corner throws alongside high walkspeed to enable strong pseudo looping. She dropped so hard on peoples lists because she can’t 100-0 you in the corner now.
and now Kage has pseudo throw loops in the corner
Pretty sure he had it last season
