So I played through all the MGS games again a few months ago, and honestly, I think quiet is pretty par for the course in regards to that series.
That’s not to defend it in any way, it’s dumb, but I’m surprised she gets singled out as much as she does.
It only kind of works with EVA in MGS 3 as she’s pretty much a femme fatal/seductress anyways.
In all the other games it’s just random fan service. MGS4 I would argue is the worst with it but, I’m not sure MGS4 is really competent to stand trial.
I like them both, probably because I was used to their original outfits in SF3. They represent the new Greek gods and iirc Gill and Urien combat style resemble to and old martial art where warriors were dressed like that.
In general I’m not disturbed with outfits until they are visual disturbing like Mika MH, Ed with a Stand or Blanka Nergigante. Females can be naked for all I care, I’m not interested in those things in fg’s.

I know they are supposed to be Greek gods that doesn’t me the design isn’t bad imo. Like I said it looks fine on Gill who has distinct features besides his (lack of) clothing. On Urien i don’t really like his because his design is pretty bland as far as video game characters go.

Meanwhile if this guy is in red/blue paint with an enourmous gold wig he is clearly in some kind of costume representing someone or something.

Fire Force is the worst in forced fan service. It actually takes me out some times. I’m not sure how far you are but that one character with the twin tails never gets any better.
There is one reminder, one of Yoshimitsus Hands is actually cybernetics, he got it replaced by the time of Tekken 2 by Dr.Boskonovitch.
Also Soul Caliburs Yoshimitsu has a wooden Arm Replica, nice detail.
