At least we will always have hentai about her, lol.
Pick VS1. Or get good at her TC which allows you to safely set up VS2.
I… have some bad news about these two…
She got good changes basically mostly forms of fixes and she benefits from the game wide changes. Karin and Akuma getting nerfed are good news for her, Juri could already battle Rashid before her buffs. I main her… She is feeling better.
V-Skill 2 is actually pretty good can outright beat cross ups, and will be her go to V-Skill outside of a handful of match ups. She can use it in places instead of Light Fuha so she doesn’t use her most important store. Ex Fuha VTC buff is great. Fuha store hitbox extended forward cancel from both jabs so she store more consistently off jabs. Target combo working on opponent regardless of state, fuha store off light lows due to Fuha store change, EX Ryo x HP DP works more often, better MP anti air Dp, better hitbox on HP DP and she gets oki after using it, V-Reversal finally works properly, and etc.
Juri didn’t get as many stand out changes as my other character Nash but she got some nice stuff that will help with her flow.
Alex VS2 is kind of a non-starter in real play. They made his VS1 retain its stock when Alex gets hit, and forgot to give VS2 the same treatment.
Add to that the fact that the applications for VS2 aren’t really all that different from VS1, and VS1 ends up the clear winner.
One spot where they really should have gotten ballsier with this new edition I guess.
There’s some early stuff I posted on the Juri forum, so check it out! After I get home I will see what else has been found for Juri.
Juri got some fixes in a patch where almost everybody else got dumber. Not buffed, just dumber.
Take that as you will.
Did anyone here actual expect huge Juri buffs? Lol at this point you gotta take what you can get
I barely expected buffs at all for a lot of the cast and then Capcom dropped this borderline Mysterious Mod patch.
Juri mains getting salty because she has been damn near bottom tier for 5 years straight is fair
I mean fair sure but still dumb. Why would Capcom change their course for her in year 5 in the same patch where every character got a new move?
I would’ve liked more Nash and Vega buffs but I knew that shit wasn’t happening lmao
I mean, she was solid enough to win with Infiltration…
So in match I to used Poison’s VS2 and it side switched Gill’s V-Reversal and punished him for it, also by doing a deep jump in with her heavies she can side switch while avoiding a 3 frame jab
pretty gimmicky stuff I know but it’s cool I guess
Not sure how helpful but a little video to making the skies Rashid free.

Gonna stick it out with Chun for the time being. I’ve been wanting these buffs for two years and now that I got them, saying “but she doesn’t have a DP” feels like I’m just making excuses, which is what I’ve been doing this whole time when I’m changing mains every two weeks. Time to actually learn a fucking character.
Meanwhile Necalli’s corner set up explain:
Hold this meaty and give me your chain.
Idk why people are so surprised about Necalli.
This guy was never a bad character.I would argue that he was at least upper mid tier the entire SFV lifespan.
I think people are surprised because they forget Necalli existed. Or maybe that’s just me. That guy is just so forgettable to me.
Peeps been trying sell Necalli as mid tier, can’t deal with projectiles, useless t-rex buttons or outright bad. Then he went, slayed a bunch of rashids and even got buffs.
I knew what was up, but others got hit with a mixup or simply forgot the jobber was good.
Okay I think this is nothing but I keep seeing it on my timeline so you should too.
Earlier on today, was it you talking about Chun’s c.lp to s.mp to c.mk to SBK combo? I was going to reply then you said you (or someone else, it was hundreds of replies ago, sorry!) weren’t bothered…
But fuck it - how I learnt to do it was using rhythm to get the c.mk charge cancel. Concentrate on the timing between the impact of c.lp to s.mp sounds - the first two beats. That’s the timing you need to use between hitting c.mk and the sbk input, a delayed cancel.
Edit, that’s how I got the hang of Guile’s delayed c.mp cancel, I was so used to cancelling as soon as impact happened, it really threw me.
