SF4 WAY to lenient on commands

:r::db::qcf: will give a Fireball as you are walking.

what i dont understand is why mashing always gives you an srk.
mashers should be getting fireballs half the time in my opinion.

If someone can prove that :r::qcf:+p can give a SRK (by way of training mode input display) then I’ll gladly change my opinion on this.

It can, just try it yourself. If you can’t do it you need faster hands.

It can, when I got my first stick that’s the motion I used to get a SRK. Which eventually lead me to have random supers when SRK from crouched position.

serious man?

I actually never had a problem with the lenient commands in SFVI (the thing is that they spoiled me when I picked up BlazBlue :-P), it’s the shortcuts that kill me.

That’s how I’ve always done shoryukens.

The thing that gets me though is, when I do a normal lp -> dashunder after Sakura’s otoshi, I’ll press downback so I can start off with a c.lk. If I do it too early, it may read the downback as two downforwards and I’ll otoshi once I get to the other side. Which usually leads to something bad :c

Sigh… I had a long time ST friend try walking fireball and he got it in one try. Other then that… Sabre :frowning: You have spawned the army of sakuras online… everyone one of them with the same mix up combo from your evo match… its sickening how fast people copy top players.

It’s way too lenient, that’s probably the main reason I can’t play SF2 anymore

If the motion ends in -> then you will NEVER get a SRK out. Go and check it in training mode with input displayed. It is ironic you said you need faster hands, the reason you are getting a SRK is because you are pressing punch before you hit ->. you are triggering it on the diagonal down thus giving you that Dragon Punch you don’t want.

The game isn’t random or messed up, it uses cold, hard logic. Go and test it for yourself in Training Mode so you can see empirical evidence proving it to be the case.

How much are you willing to bet on that?

Isn’t it funny that everyone who says you can’t get a shoryuken with :r: as the last input has only been a member of srk.com for a year or so? Don’t let the n00bs get to you, they probably never played ST and probably couldn’t even shoryuken if they tried (in ST)!

I have a new thread with more pics and video of ridiculas SRK motions.
Not only can you end your SRK motion with :r::p:, you can end it with :r::l::p:
http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=200716

As Fei Long, :db: + :k:, a flame kick pops out of no where from time to time.

Go figure.

You can’t be fucking serious. You just can’t.

If only Dr. B’s magnificent mind could assimilate thee.

Wow nice work, this should shut up all the ‘n00b’ players that somehow found out about srk.com (GO BACK TO GAMEFAQS.COM!!!)!

Checking out your thread I was shocked out how easy they made specials … even more so then I previously thought! The sickest was :d::r:+:p:!

Good work, I take it back. I must be subconsciously adapting my motion.

I didn’t realise timing alone can determine which special comes out. Explains why I can see different specials coming out showing the same input in training mode.
