I am interested in running a Street Fighter Event at m y local game shop. Something fun and smaller, maybe some leveling up for bigger fudd tourneys to come. SF4 or HD:R sound fun, any input? Looking to do this on sunday, if not this sunday then next, maybe even both. I will run/organize/take care of everything, might need a Console or two but i know peeps are good for it, 5$ entry 2$ venue fee,double elimination top 5 get prizes 50/30/10/5/5 Sunday from ~12 PM till we’re finished, ill happily set up one spot for casuals but id like to keep this a tourney, not a bunch of money matches,
Venue would be at Shadowbrooke Games, 1800 Monument Blvd #M, concord CA. Theres a bunch of fast food/taquerias nearby, a bar, convienience store etc. Any interest?

kinda expensive dude. im interested just not in paying that much. also consider changing the prizes from 70/20/10 thats standard. no one wants 5 percent
hmmm i might want to go to this if it is indeed this Saturday since i have the whole day oof for once. might i suggest lowering the entry fee though since you say you want to keep it a small tourney? if not, it’s cool. i need some leveling up anyway haha.

Sunday is the day i can host the tourney, so its the day i have to have the tournament on. Ramin, do you work on Saturday? if not i can start it up , you can finish it out?
I like the payouts for top 5, it ensures that other people get a cut, albeit a slight one. If you all, not one person saying they speak for everyone, want it otherwise, it will be so!
I do not have the space to run more than one game, nor at this time the inclination. If this works out, in the future i WILL arrange it so that more than one game can be played.
If its to be HD:R it will be Xbox360. Otherwise if it is to be sf4 i will set up two PS and two xbox stations and we can work it out.
i work saturday as well vitto. I think you should have it on sunday. run sf4 one week and the next tourney have HDR. Also you should stick to payout for top 3, since it wont be much. and just charge 7 dollars for entry. 5 to pot, and 3 to venue.
Fuck! I just switched hours with my coworker today, thinking I wasn’t going to attend this since $13 was too steep of an total tournament fee. Now I’m working 12-5 Sunday the 13th. I’m free Saturday, but it looks like it’s set for Sunday. If you ran SFIV I wouldn’t be heartbroken, but I would if it’s HDR. Either way, looks like I’m going to miss this one.

Run HDR another week! It’ll give Eph a few more weeks to practice (even tho this cat swears he never plays the game when he’s doing Touch of Death combos…)
