Hey guys, think I have a problem or im possibly being lame…
Since I got my SE Fightstick 2 weeks ago I have had trouble getting moves to register for the right side, ie fireballs, and ultra’s using two qcf’s, fireballs are allot more responsive, but I can only ever do an ultra once in every three goes. Then I realised there was a a weird clicking when i did the motion on the right (not the usual clicking when the stick touches the sensors) and occasionaly I can here some sort of metal noise, when again im doing the motions (it sounds quite similar to when you have a bit of metal and make it ping by bending it, if that makes any sense)
I am planning on getting sanwa parts next week, but is this prob im having with the standard parts a washer problem?
yeah I just got my SE yesterday and the LP and LK buttons are not responding properly.
Also when I try to do the throw, it would kick or punch instead. It would work sometime, but not all the time. Ahh…so stressing.
Good thing I bought a 1 year warranty with it at EB games.
So for those getting serviced by Mad Catz…will they still fix the washer problem if your stick is already out of warranty? I bought mine shortly after SF4 came out so I have maybe two weeks tops on the 90 day warranty.
How do you know you have the washer problem without breaking the warranty seal? Is it just assumed that you have it if your joystick stops functioning properly.
Note: I haven’t really had any major issues with my stick movements or button presses registering. I’m simply curious as my brother picked me up an extra TE the other day and I was debating as to whether or not I even want to trade up or just keep the SE.
Personally I like the way my palms rest on the SE way more than the TE. I hate how the TE is almost completely flat in comparison to SE. My hands feel awkward…kind of like if I’m typing on a keyboard that’s flat versus one that’s propped up at an angle. Otherwise the TE does feel higher quality…although I would expect it to considering its price tag.
Update on my sticks, I just noticed the Right Stick Stuck once. I don’t have a 360 but I’m in the Joysticks Property and noticed that it is indicating that it is moving Right on the stick while I’m not even doing anything.

hey my SE stick just broke…( some buttons are not responding)
I bought a 1 year warranty at EB games. If I were to bring back my fightstick to EB games with the receipt…will they give me a new one on spot? Or do I have to wait for them to ship it back to madcatz, and I’ll have to wait for my new one to come.
Also, this 1 year warranty. Can I use it more than once a year?
How long have you had your sticks for? I just opened mine up and found that the washer moves.
I wonder when Mad Catz is going to fix the problem. I know they addressed it but they haven’t fixed it yet, it has been months since they knew and yet no solution.
i wonder if i got a faulty pcb…i modded mine with all sanwa, and some pros played on mine this past weekend and said that my parts felt weird, i.e. buttons were hitting when they werent and the joystick didnt feel right. Since this is my first stick with sanwa parts, i didnt know how sanwa parts are supposed to feel like, but i playin on other ppls stick, i could def feel a difference. i wonder if its the pcb of the jlf or if my spring is worn out already or if madcatz just gave me a faulty pcb board? i think imma go to a store by my house and ask them if i could test out a jlf and see how it feels on my se…cause honestly ive only had this for 3 mths and the jlf stick is already crapping out on me
Update just fixed the washer issue now my buttons are sticking. I rarely even used it!!!
