Finally done with this term… and will have money soon… gonna finally make it out in the not-too-distant future soon.
I hope.
What’s this about “going easy on the new guy”? I’ve pretty much assumed I’ll get all hell (from a gameplay and general “whoa… you actually exist” standpoint) when I finally make it out.
Probably won’t be making it out again till I own the game, just a heads up. I love playing the game but I feel like a gimp showing up to fight once a week on a title I don’t even own. I need to have some serious sessions when I finally get it for PC and get my game back up to what it should be so I can come out and represent myself accurately. I enjoy the company and spirit of the place too much to give it up so you can count on me being around again soon :]
Now that was fun. Nice to see familiar faces again, and be recognized even with my complete change of hair color and style. Then again, who else plays Viper? (Well, FullMetalRoss, but I’ve never seen him at Versis…) Had some excellent fun against The Three Ryus. That was the highlight of the night for me.^^
I’ll be gone camping next week, but the week after that, Akuma player, we will have our money match. Now you have two weeks to prepare for slaughter! Good luck!
You’ll need it.
Hey! Look forward to seeing Yangsing here if he comes out
I will be here tonight. Gear in tow too. Though more gear is always appreciated!
Last week’s session was great with an all-star trio in BBH, Rayblade, and Fat Bear. We also had Derrick, R-Panda, Bumperfront, and myself slugging it out on the PS3.
Looks like this week’s going to be a King of Fighters Week
Some customers here were excited to hear about KOF 98 Ultimate Match coming to Live and are down for some offline action on that. They also played the multicade a bunch. Mostly KOF '98 The Slugfest, Metal Slug, and Marvel vs. Capcom 1. Anyways, they are stoked about the Fight Night Sessions.
BTW, yes, they do speak Spanish (and they’re a very cool bunch).
Last week’s session was a lot of fun. I got some good Ryu training in on SF4. My VF5 play didn’t really make me happy, but credit to Ray and Simon for kicking my ass. And credit to Jetay for kicking my ass as he was getting more and more sure of his game that night.
Time to hit the training mode…
Also, maybe someone will bring over Blazblue? We’ll see.
Thanks to the following players last week, everyone was awesome and BBH provided a lot of great insight across many fighting games (he even played Art of Fighting 1 for sticks and giggles and took the time to show me a few things in KOF 98).
*SlayU2
*Bumperfront
*Derrick
*Yangsing
*Scott (who showed up in previous weeks but I forgot to mention it, sorry man! Scary as hell Balrog btw)
*Lord BBH
*Raishinken
*Sam Y
*Rayblade
Lots of SSF2T & HDR that night too. Not to mention poker!
Real talk: I have no commitments this week, and I have money in my wallet. This is the first time in forever that both of these things have happened at once.
Yangsing, if you’re heading out this week and down for hooking me up with rides there and back (I’ll throw you some cash for gas/toward your entry fee if you want), then count me in for finally making it to a Versis session and looking forward to a thorough ass-whooping.
Let me know what I need to bring out (like my modded stick or Wii/TvC).
Here’s to hoping I shock people with my being a real person-ness.
I’m picking up BlazBlue this week (today?!?), and I’ll be bringing it in case Versis doesn’t get a copy by Thursday.
I also got my Jap parts and have finished modding my stick, so maybe I’ll bring that by, too. Just a modded SE though, nothing special. Want some good art for it, but haven’t found what I’m looking for yet.
General note: My stick is fritzing out on the PS2/PS3 side. Can still bring it for the 360 side if need be. I won’t plan on bringing my Wii/TvC unless I hear some requests for it. Sounds like there will be plenty going on without it, but I wanted to offer up. (I only have one Cube JoyBox adapter for PS2 sticks, though.)
There was definite lag on the HDR setup, I felt it after one game. I’m not sure what was going on with that when SF4 felt fine, but playing on that setup was aggravating to me because it made the game even more random than it usually is. I think eventually I just got up in disgust and wandered over to the multicade to play Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker.
