Why hasn’t this replaced the other matchup thread ? Is it because it has more matchup answers in there still yet to be updated in here ? Why not make it where if you have something useful to share , you should not only post it in the forum , but PM the message to the topic creator as well so he can edit and update the first post ?

it’s so simple, but i went for a long time losing to headstomp abusing bisons because i’d panic, even lost against a couple who literally just headstomped and if they bounced from a block just immediately headstomped again.
it’s so satisfying to be able to blatantly punish people for this now.
the rest of the thread is obviously bloody excellent too, but this one has just given me so much satisfaction.

+1 on this tip. I was, too, struggling with headstomp spamming. This was a quick fix and totally turned my game around when going up against Bison.
However, what I do for other attacks/strings/strats that I have trouble with is to simply go into training mode and record the move/combo you are having trouble dealing with and try out different counters to see what works and what doesn’t. Saves you a lot of frustration during matches. Also, you get to try everything lag free if you’re just mainly playing online.

i end up getting into a bad habit of just sitting blocking, and once they have me doing this they start crossing me up. it gets me angry cause i’ve finally gotten myself to a point where i never feel like im stuck blocking apart from kens who do this, and i just played 2 in a row
Ken Question
I played against a Ken who spammed F+MK, D+MK throughout the match, and I couldn’t counter it. Is there a counterattack besides the SRK?

Would love some more info on the Seth matchup, was recently destroyed by a Seth at a local tournament.
what precisely is it about Seth that is giving you problems?

on seth u cant play too safe on him. i have a godly seth that i know. im not sure if he plays on xbl or PSN id have to ask him
watch out his shit slow sonicboom teleport to spd/throw/SRK/ when in the fireball war. if he wall jumps get a SRK in dont FA it he can do the chun li down middle kick stomp on you for the second hit. also random twice when he just back jump with the fierce long arms. same with the forward fierce on well from the ground. u can FA it tho to but SRK is a better option. when seth has a ultra DO NOT hado from half screen or full screen. they will be looking for it. his super… is decent, if u block it you will take a good amount of chip dmg from it, but you iill get sucked in as well. try not jump in either when he has ultra. you will get nailed by it as well it has the same shit like rose’s ultra as well… also watch out for the wake up SRK as well. if i can think of anything else ill post it up on here again. this is the best that i can do at the moment.
I don’t know much about Sakura , if anything I will think that the Sakura player would really want to psyche an EX shunpuu kyaku into resets or finishing off with otoshi at a point to give you enough stun . I think a vertical jump MK will beat an EX shunpuu kyaku and if she goes behind you after your jump , punish Sakura if she’s still doing her move by whatever you prefer ( Solar plexus to SRK maybe ? ) .
As for Seth , I think most of the time when Seth jumps up/back or up , you probably should perform psyche shoryukens at some time . This is really useful if you have an ultra available since Seth loses about 50 % of his life from eating an ultra . Knowing when to hit confirm an air tatsumaki to Seth when he throws a sonic boom also helps as well .
Overall facing Seth shouldn’t really be a difficult match , since performing risk moves won’t affect you much due to the limited damage Seth can do ( However try not to perform risk moves too much in the corners where Seth is able to punish with his combo resets . ) and his armor being so low where doing risk moves will actually help a lot if the hit/hits does confirm .
I wouldnt exactly say that, this guy was busting out some 30-40% combos on me.
