What are the rules you ask?
Ingame rules are set to best of 3 rounds, 99 seconds, no handicaps ofcourse.
Winner keeps character, loser is allowed to change.
All characters are allowed.(even Sakura)
Concerning tournament format, we’re planning on dividing 64 players into 16 regional pools.
Every pool will have 4 players that will all play each other. That means within 3 rounds all 4 players have played each other. The player that won the most matches is the pool winner and will continue to the 16 man single elimination winners bracket. In the brackets we’ll try to seed the players by regions but it is inevitable that players from afar will play each other.
The regional pools will be announced on the time of the tourney you should know that the regional pools will have 3 rounds.
round 1: Player 1 vs Player 2; Player 3 vs Player 4
round 2: Player 1 vs Player 3; Player 2 vs Player 4
round 3: Player 1 vs Player 4; Player 2 vs Player 3
Each player will do a best of 3 matches.
The player with most matches won wins the pool.
If the top 2 are tied they will have to play 1 match to decide the winner.
The 16 man single elimination winners bracket will consist of the regional pool winners.
The matches will be best of 3, except for the grand finale that will be a best of 5.
Extra matches will be played to decide the top 16 for the ranbat system and the top 3 prizes.
I have no idea how long the tournament is going to take but be sure to reserve 2 hours.
With 64 contestants there is bound to be some bumps along the road.
To avoid most of the problems I’m asking all the contestants and also the people on reserve to be in the chatroom ON TIME. If a contestant is not on time his place will be given to someone on the reservelist.
Also to avoid unnecessary delay please play your matches as fast as possible so I can process the results and announce the next matches.
This is all probably hella confusing

Okay sounds interesting, how does one join?
There’s a entrants list at the bottom. Simply post your steamid and liveid in this thread and I will add you to it. When you enter be sure to join SF4PRC. You don’t have to join but at the date and time of the tournament enter SF4PRC groupchat, there I will announce all tournament relevant information(who you’ll be playing etc.).
At the moment the entrants list is full and pools are made. But if you’re still really interested in entering just post in this thread and be in the group chatroom on time. There’s no doubt about it that a lot of people are not gonna show up lol.

Also try to record your matches, you’re not obligated to do so, but uploading some matches to youtube or something gives the community some fun stuff to watch.

ALERT: as we have so many players entering we are going to organise the pools by region to avoid laggy play as much as possible.
If you have entered the tourney, please go back and edit your post to include your region, USA, Europe, w/e. this will help us to organise the pools and save a lot of headaches for players and organisers alike.
Also if you are entering, its a good idea to join our Steam group so you can be updated through announcements via Steam.
