So i was wondering since i just bought SF4 for PC today. Just need a few questions to be answered if thats cool i dont want to make a new thread about it and sorry if it has been answered before. I want to play online without being banned from using skin mods or anything like that.

  1. I know how people has use the cheat or hacked SF4 to unlock everything instantly i was wondering can you be banned for playing with that online?

  2. Customized skins are those also going to risk me from being banned or anything?

The hacks work, I am having slight trouble in putting hacks for costume 2. Everything I downloaded have teh files 1 so only the first ones change but I wanted more costumes and changed the name file to 2 and so on, it exploded the game lol. I changed it back and only doing ones. Ill have to read more. Good start for me though.

Awesome. This would be super-ambitious and perhaps impossible but I wonder if some day we’d be able to replace the Thunder Knuckle animation with a throwing card :wow:

  1. The general consensus is that no, the unlocker wont get you banned HOWEVER, rumors have gone around that Xbox Live accounts could be. Again, just rumor and really with anything like that you take a risk, even if a very small one.

  2. As far as the skins go, NO you should not ever be banned for those. The game does not have checksums or Punkbuster to keep track of those changes. It’s simply a skin modification for appearance and doesn’t affect the gameplay in any way. It also doesn’t affect on-line play which is a good thing. Capcom has also appeared to be okay with our fun mods (though not officially). But you can’t blame them given how many people have bought the game because visual mods alone. We’re helping sales at the very least…we hope!

Thanks, I haven’t worked on the trenchcoat and skin yet, it’s virtually the same as the default color i used. Same with the skin.

Not entirely sure exactly what depth of tone and adjusting color balance is since i’m not too great with photoshop and texture editing in general. Although I’m getting a bit better so I’ll see what I can do. :wink:

It’s possible, but very difficult to pull off since you have to manually animate her throwing a card and creating a separate model of a card, and maybe vfx for it. Also have to get exact frames used and distance. :wink:
