Everything, I have read about custom soundtracks says that you can’t listen while online. This is true for my main PSN account, but for some odd reason my PSN sub-account allows me to listen while playing online. I’m not sure why it allows me to do this. I am not complaining, i love it. I’m just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or if anyone wants to check if it works on their PS3. I have made no mods or changes to my PS3.
So, you just pick another account on your XMB before starting up the game? What, exactly, did you do to get this to work, since it would be good to know?
I noticed it when i made the change to a stick. I was using my other PSN account on my PS3 so i wouldn’t lose too many BP during the change. All i did was start up the music normally before i went into ranked matches. Usually the music stops at this point but it just keeps on going. On that subaccount the chat option is disabled, i also don’t sign in until i first start looking for matches.
ducktales? i don’t know what you are implying but it does work. It’s been working on mine for a couple of weeks now. i’ve already said i’m not sure how it does but it does. I’m sure eventually someone else will figure out exactly how it works but for now i guess my PS3 is just magic or perhaps the chosen one.
Approximately one month ago I was fighting a friend online. At the end of one of the matches when the grading system comes up there was a brief jolt (Just as if you lost connection, lighting struck, etc). However, I did not lose connection but my own custom bgm starting playing as if I signed off of the internet. I thought about it and I decided to come up with an experiment. On another night of battles as soon as one ended I tried to quickly snatch my Ethernet cable out and insert it back in real quickly to simulate what I thought actually happened on the night my own bgm worked, however it did not work.
I’m going to try your method tonight and see how it works.
^if your playing any mode but player match this will happen. if you have arcade request on, it will switch back to default music when you resume arcade play
If after starting a song you re-navigate to the XMB and click X or Start on the song in the playlist that is already playing, you get the control panel which has a shuffle option that can be permanently activated. It also has a volume adjustment option that I usually put all the way down to -4 because the XMB songs tend to drown out the sound effects even at max volume.
