SF4 Akuma Combos

I’ve only learned about 4 or 5 characters ranges, but that’s honestly enough as the ex tatsu in the corner doesn’t arise all that much.

I am saying your back to corner for the part your quoting, hence why I say ryu’s back to corner for the second example. The c.MP is usually only done after a j.MK crossup INTO a corner though, so you’re probably right about you being too close and it shooting him forward.

Everyone has a different hitbox, hence why it’s easier to combo on Sagat than Rufus. Try c.LK-c.LP, c.MP -> EX Tatsu while your opponent is in the corner on both Ryu and Akuma, you will see different results. Ryu flys towards, Akuma flys away.

cl.HP->ex tatsu throws the opponent in the corner 90% of the time and only is iffy on rufus.

i want test results young man, hand over the scantron sheet!

^it works for me (except rufus) I usually go for cl.HP->fb->FADC->cl.HP->ex tatsu and it always throws them towards the corner again except rufus.

im bad at math and ur a whiz, whats 20% of 0.00?

Yeah I personally prefer s.HP-s.HP, c.HK -> EX FB -> FADC, s.LK, c.LK, nj.LP, LP SRK -> FADC, D+MK Dive Kick, Ultra -> HK Tatsu. That’s just me though! (except rufus)

It’s 43, so pay up!

WRONG^ its 42- the answer to everything

Edit: Lord ur an ass…hahaha jk… but really ur an ass

if ur trying to do the ex tatsu from outside the corner doesnt it make more sense to do ex hadou instead? it has juggle properties… i dont think the dmg difference is huge and theres no chance to miss out on the extra stun/dmg from the dp

I dunno, does it?

Hey, it was about time someone said it around this place. Props, Ultima.

Power levels are immense in this thread, my scouter just asploded!

Scouters r for nubs!

c.LP-c.LP, c.LP -> QCB+LK, DP+LP -> FADC, HCB+HP

I can’t seem to get this down, every time I go for the QCB+LK he just does a s.lk. I’m pretty sure it has something to do with my timing but could someone confirm? Thanks

Yeah, it’s why I don’t typically link three jabs, because if you’re slightly too fast you’ll end up chaining them instead. It’s just timing though mang, practice makes pawwwwfect.

Token I prefer the 3 jabs and now I do cLP->cLP->cLK-> LK tatsu because sometimes the 3rd lp whiffs. It’s all about timing I might do a video so you can hear the button timings.

Anyways why I came here was THE MOST DAMAGING AKUMA COMBO.

jHK->cl.HK->cl.HP->FB->FADC->cl.HP->ex tatsu->HP dP

3 bars 536 dmg 915 stun !!! instant stun on a 3rd of the cast.

@ token. yeah, it’s most likely timing. the first two lps are done fairly quickly, then there’s a slight pause followed by the third lp and lk.tatsu. the timing of the first two lps and then lp and lk.tatsu are the same. you’re most likely hitting the third lp to quickly. think of it as tap(lp), tap(lp), slight pause tap(lp), tap(lk.tatsu)

@ bokkin: i too prefer the three lps. that said, changing the last lp to lk works well, as your opponent will often block from the stand position. while the first two lps are blocked, following with a lk will hit, thereby allowing you to combo into the tatsu.

i’ll have to check out your combo above. is the timing tricky going from the cl.hk->cl.hp?

jHK->cl.HK->cl.HP->FB->FADC->cl.HP->ex tatsu->HP dP

probably not as baddass in stun factor but I would imagine it being easier to substitute the first cl.HP with a cr.MP?

^yeah but cMP pushes you hella far away so getting the FADC-cl.HP can be tricky because you’ll get far HP which you can’t combo out of.

just started trying out akuma. awesome thread
