SF4:AE World Ranking - Site has been beta-released

I agree that Nine States should be worth way more than that…

I feel like a lot of these rankings are off…not even just for USF4 but also for Blazblue and some other games. In the Blazblue rankings, you have random American tourneys with like only a couple of American “killers”, being worth more than Japanese tournaments that are stacked with practically every high level player. There shouldn’t be any american players in the top 10 of Blazblue.

Still haven’t been added to the rankings…

well? it remained the same.

The system uses player weights to determine tournament weight and eventually ranking relative to other tournaments. The players in 9states did not have heavy weights, simply because they are not well known in tournament scenes and can not be judged correctly to get to a 8, 9 or 10 out of 10 weight. I agree that they are good, but they are not placing well enough against international top players to get such a weight

Infiltration - Infiltration
Poongko - Poongko
Pepeday - Pepeday
EX Pugera - 9th at EVO 2014, did well in Topanga
Itabashi Zangief - 9th at EVO 2014, 2nd in Thaiger Uppercut (only losing to Bonchan), several good showings
Nishikin - Got into Capcom Cup 2014 by beating Bonchan
Kyabetsu - Several good showings in japanese tournaments and did really good at EVO 2013, in 2014 he had Dieminion and Snake Eyez in his pool.
Misse - 25th place at EVO 2013 and 2014

If that’s not a strong showing then I don’t know what is.

I just found this forum to submit tournament results for rankings. I host a tournament series titled Tampa Never Sleeps that has been around since 2011. We’ve had about 8 tournaments already. Most of the tourneys bring in a total of 125-400 players across all games with street fighter iv having 50-100 players and marvel 3 having around 40-70 players. All the tourneys feature some highly rated players like Flocker, Marvelo, Green Ace, NuckleDu, Tampa Bison, Jebailey, Flash Metroid, Full Schedule, CJ Truth, Noel Brown, among others. Can I submit those for consideration to be added? If so, is this forum the best way to do it or is there a better way to send the bulk results?

Thanks!!!

That’s because most of them are not actually traveling to fight these international top players…it doesn’t mean they don’t exist. A lot of them also play in japanese team tournaments but those are not used in the ranking. Like Darui for example, has always been known to be the best or second best Dhalsim in Japan (and the world to be honest) but he almost never attends tournaments. When he attends the team tournaments, there is always a strong showing. He also (I believe) has the highest Dhalsim arcade ranking.

Darui wasn’t at 9 States single tournament I believe but he was wrecking people in the 5on5, ocving team Shiro, Kyabetsu, Nishikin, Itazan, Inco.

Inco as well, doesn’t attend many tournaments, doesn’t mean he doesn’t exist. He’s the best Rufus in Japan right now, got third at TGS, losing to pepeday in a superclose match 5-4

Also, I recommend that team tournament data is accumulated and listed in the player’s results, even if it can’t be used yet to determine their world ranking…just to have the data there. At the very least, if team results can’t be used for their world ranking, they should be used to determine player weight if the player doesn’t have much single player results.

If you want, I can look up and provide the team tournament results for a number of Japanese tournaments.

thanks!

Couple nationality mistakes I noticed too:

http://rank.shoryuken.com/rankings/player/byname/ButterBeefBison is actually from Switzerland.
http://rank.shoryuken.com/rankings/player/byname/Lingo is from Japan.

Hello I really like the Fighting Game World Rankings on Shoryuken.com. I would really like for you guys to do a fighting game world ranking for the new game Mortal Kombat X. Please consider adding this game to your world ranking. I would really appreciate it and I am sure Many other people would as well. Thank you. I am not sure I i am writing this in the right place. I am sorry if I am not.

This still hasn’t been added, yet NWM was added right away?

Also why does KoujiKOG(the best or second best THawk along with Mitsurugi) have a 7/10 weight scale. Seriously? He’s an easy 9.

Would you say these two top 8s are worth 470 points to the winner?

Double Elimination

1 Infiltration
2 Bonchan
3 Poongko
4 Kazunoko
5 Tokido
5 HumanBomb
7 Itabashi Zangief
7 Eita

I’m sorry guys, I have been lagging a bit lately on following up comments and corrections.
If Emil is interested he can help moderating the data, would be great!

all japanese players are now a 9 or a 10 on the emil scale.

The NCR 2015 results were added for USF4, but not for UMVC3. It would be interesting to see if Justin has beaten Chris G for all time points. Also, Chris G is no longer with GG, might that be changed too?
