For those interested, a team of Dreamcast enthusiasts modded SF3 using the PS2 soundtrack and included Urien’s unblockable from an unreleased beta. For more information, please see this post: http://theisozone.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=2792
This version loads faster than the retail release.

This is… interesting. But if it’s a beta, what else is wrong with it? It can’t simply be that the urien unblockable was left in. I would love to have a good port of 3s for DC.
To answer your question, it is not a beta. It is the Dreamcast retail version modded with arcade music and Urien’s arcade move set. They took all of the the files from the Dreamcast retail version, changed the music to the PS2 version (which is the arcade soundtrack) and changed Urien’s moves to an unreleased beta which includes his unblockable. Think of it as a remix. Give it a try and please post some feedback on the forum link I provided above or in this thread. I never used Urien so I do not know if this remix turned out well.
Hmm… it is not in the release notes. I’ll ask the team directly. If not, I’m sure they will look at the beta they have to see if Oro’s unblockable is included. Thanks for the tip.
I just burned this and am playtesting it, first thing I noticed was that the odd resolution is still there, making everything look squished.
EDIT: Tested against 3SO and PS2 Japanese port, confirmed input lag on this DC port, sadly.
Tested on ALL buttons with a ps1 -> dc innovation converter, and then with 3 different dreamcast pads using all buttons. Input lag remains, it’s a port problem. Adding Uriens unblockable didn’t make this a good port, I have no idea why a “team” would take the time to do this since it’s still a far inferior port.
damage is also all wrong in the DC port (such as GJ palm combos doing less damage than far fierce versions), and there are various hitboxes which have been changed, most infamous one being dudley’s LP mgb (can’t do lots of arcade juggles)
Why can’t this team focus on hacking the ps2 version instead (fixing speed and minor issues) is beyond me. As it is this is a waste of resorces
Because they are a Dreamcast team? PS2 version is “close enough” imo, and we have all been playing on it for years now. The Dreamcast version would just require to much work from any dev team to be made arcade perfect.
