sf2ce

I love watching the vids on YouTube, but I have one piece of criticism. It’s very hard to search for certain characters because you’ve tagged every match with each character’s name, meaning that if I want to watch only Zangief videos, I can’t just do a search for Zangief and find them. You should really consider just using the names of the characters playing a particular match as the tags.

Other than that, great stuff!

this has to be the version of street fighter I played most. Definetly the one I’m more skill at. Good thing you guys still play it in korea. If I could be there.

UltraDavid ;
great idea!
thx.

rukawa_kaede ;
yes, we love to meet sf2ce gamers from our side of korea.
a sf2ce gamer had visited us in Jan this year and
probably another shanghai gamer visit us in July this year.
and i hope you can visit us soon.

After playing this alot, i am beginning to like this more than HF and ST. The speed really allows to me to think about every move, and i can see how it can make for more tactical battles.

Laugh, i wouldn’t rank Dhalsim as a top tier character, he is one of the better characters in the game though. He can handle himself against most of the cast, but when he comes across a Blanka, Chun, Vega or Honda, he can have alot of trouble.

r3ko ;
Right, I feel the same way to you.
But in Dhalsim, I think, he always won against Chun Li with difficulty.
He’s so easy to won to Bison and Guile.
…however, the top matter is the gamers skill not just on character,
that’s what I want to say.

And how is going on the 3th tourn of sf2ce on net in England?

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Today, June 16, 5 pm…
there’er an event to us.
We fixed up gamers (who decided to participate in the 6the tourn)
of the preliminary of the 6th tourn in June 23.

It’s sure that I never knock on the round of 16,
'cause five opponents of mine are the best guys.(–:wink:

You’ll need mame32k0.64 to view it. Makes sure to choose playback Kaillera input.

Could somebody upload it as avideo in youtube for easier viewing?

I tried converting it to a standard format, but the sound always desynchs erally badly after about 10 seconds. And after about 30 seconds lots of frames get lost. Maybe my Computer isn’t powerful enough.

I’d found some problem uploading to youtube.
I’m trying to capture sf2ce live broadcasting in Korea these days,
(used the program, Camtisia tryal version)
(it’s for recording the tourn later)
but when I’d uploaded it to youtube, there’re the sound problems like r3ko.
However, it doesn’t happenned in Korean ucc sites.

Let me try to upload your vids to Korean ucc sites, r3ko.

Wow, black and white Third Strike on the livefeed?

Yes…but some problems…

There’re 5 cabs of ST in ‘JungIn arcade’.
sf2ce
sf2ce
sf2ce
sf2ce + sf3rd ; black and white when it connected to the computer (?)
sf2ce + ssf2x

  1. There’re very few gamers of sf3rd.
  2. And the cab (sf2ce+sf3rd) is shown as black-and-white when it connected to the server.
  3. But we’re trying to broadcast when there’s gaming of sf3rd and ssf2x.

i can usually hear GG playing in the background sometimes. id love to see cameras hooked up to cabinets for that as well.

Thanks for watch our live yesterday tourn,
there’re so many viewers from all over the world.
(I’ll check the ip address tomorrow.)
I’m not sure that tourn’s recordings are ok,
'cause we captured from live-broadcasting in a computer.(Korean live, afreeca)
(If you’re going to use ‘Camtasia’, you’d better never capturing over one hour,
and you must chech your space of hard disk enough before capturing.
***one hour / 1 GB)
And I’ll upload the tourn vids soon.

Love the streaming vids, though it’s hard to stop watching even when I need to sleep early for work! Thank you, you’re doing a great service to OG fans everywhere.

Agreed 100%. It’ll be a sad day when no one on earth plays CE at this level anymore.

Thank you very much, TVS!

I agreed with you too.

There’s s sad news about recording the 6th tourn (June 23, 2007),
I recorded it’s vids to capture recording from interner live-broadcasting,
but there’re no sound in all captured. And no final. --;;

So we changed the recording method
to ‘recording live, not capture recording’.
Here’s a sample of this method,
it’s a battle of team playing
(it’s 5 to 5 team battle; a team have 10 chances to battle - a player can play two times.)
10 pm in Seoul (GMT+9), July 2, 2007 or try this
(a UCC site in Korea)
You do better resize your ie windows.

  • the win team is who wins the first 10 battles 'cause there’re 5 gamers per a team.
  • score and gamers are…[ score 1p : 2p / gamers 1p : 2p ]
    [ 0 : 0 / Bread : PyaeIn / 0 : 1 ] - recorded just the end of this battle.
    [ GeumEunKen : PyaeIn / 1 : 1 ]
    [ GeumEunKen : SseBi / 2 : 1 ]
    [ GeumEunKen : SaCheyBoy / 3 : 1 ]
    [ GeumEunKen : LevisTiger / 4 : 1 ]
    [ GeumEunKen : ShanghaiBaak / 5 : 1 ]
    [ GeumEunKen : PyaeIn / 6 : 1 ]
    [ GeumEunKen : SaCheyBoy / 6 : 2 ]
    [ DhalsimMan : SaCheyBoy / 6 : 3 ]
    [ BoWuYa : SaCheyBoy / 6 : 4 ]
    [ Shun : SaCheyBoy / 6 : 5 ]
    [ DhalsimMan : SaCheyBoy / 7 : 5 ]
    [ DhalsimMan : ShanghaiBaak / 7 : 6 ]
    [ Shun : ShanghaiBaak / 7 : 7 ]
    [ BoWuYa : ShanghaiBaak / 7 : 8 ]
    [ Bread : ShanghaiBaak / 7 : 9 ]
    [ GeumEunKen : ShanghaiBaak / 7 : 10 ]
    [ 2p team won ]

This thread is amazing on so many fronts. Thank you korea_sf2ce for showing SRK that CE can still be played competitively. CE has to be my favorite fighting game of all time and after following the bandwagon with HF and ST, I finally get to see I wasn’t a fool. No matter how complex SF gets, it still comes down to zoning and spacing, which CE uses explicitly. New Skool gamers tend to forget the basics of zoning, as games reward rushdown over turtle style.

I have one complaint that many others have posted already, but it isn’t that important - I’d like to see some more variety in character usage. Not a huge deal considering how lopsided the characters tiers are, but I know the other characters can compete much better than what has been exhibited.

Keep up the CE love.

wow…Thanks for your advise, Iapetus!

Yes, it’s one of the most important thing that we must increase non-mainstream character users. Sure, there’re lot of it’s users but they rarly use them when they’re in tourn(two times in a year) or battles(- in normal times).
We’re going to build a project of it as soon as…

======================================================

We had concluded that the best of recording of this game,
so we’re uploading it’s vids almost everyday to our web site(Korean).
Usually, their playing times are over 30 minutes - there’s no way to upload them
o youtube.com 'cause they cut off 10 minutes.
Therefore, I’m going to link Korean ucc here, hope to see you well.
