Great matches as usual :slight_smile: . I’m watching your Ken players and wonder why they do close Fierce punch into strong shoryuken instead of close fierce punch into fierce shoryuken. Can you explain this to me?

Is ‘fierce’ means ‘middle’?

No fierce means heavy punch

jab = weak punch
strong = middle punch
firece= heavy punch
short = weak kick
forward= middle kick
Roundhouse = heavy kick

Don’t worry about it, my cousin informed me. The last hit on Ken’s fierce shoryuken whiffs against certian opponents, I just forgot:sweat:

And in my view,

  1. jap,strong and fierce shoryuken - same hitting power.
  2. when the opponent is near at ken or ryu,
    strong shoryuken couldn’t hit down opponent frequently
    and fierce shoryuken almost always couldn’t hit down opponent.
    so almost always use jap shoryuken.
  3. but specially in ken,
    push aside : fierce > strong > jap
    so we use fierce shoryuken to hit opponent
    who is far away from ken.
    <jap,strong,fierce>

Ah thanks :tup:

Can someone explain to me a) how to combo j.MK c.MK fierce ball with Blanka or b) that it doesn’t combo in this game c) an alternative jump in combo.

Every single time I do it, it never combos.

It does work, but you mights aswell swap out j.MK to j.HP or J.HK. Only thing i can suggest about this to make sure your charging as soon as you jump.

While thats a damaging combo, its much bettter to go for his chain combos, which can dizzy or at least get a knockdown, plus there alot easier and more reliable to do.

j.HK, MP, c.HP/c.HK

other combos you could try are

j.MP, MP electricity
2 HP Blanka balls (enemy in corner)

hope this helps some

Blanka’s crouching Forward in CE does not cancel into a special. However, you can link a Fierce Rolling Attack after a close crouching Forward. It may be possible to include a jump-in attack beforehand on larger characters for a 3-hit combo.

Blanka’s close, neutral standing Strong not only forms the basis of most his linking combos, where he can combo either of his grounded Fierces, his crouching Roundhouse, his crouching or standing Strong, or his crouching Forward afterwards, it can also be cancelled! So a combo such as jumping Fierce-> neutral standing Strong-> Fierce Rolling Attack is possible.
In order to cancel the close Strong, you must charge back for the RA-> controller neutral, hit Strong-> controller towards+punch in one swift motion.
