This is a wasteful topic…the game is purposefully broken, made to have fun not competitive play. Soooooo where in the fuck would you be able to apply tiers, especially when all you would have to do is switch characters mid match…I mean come on.
If you don’t think Ken is top (and ryu is about the same), then you dont know how to play fighting games. I will take a money match against any character other than ken or ryu with my ken at evo for no less than 50 dollars a game. I do not do money matches EVER, ask around. This is how bad I think you are at this game if you don’t KNOW ken is #1 in this hilarious game.

Throw a sonic boom and stop 1 of the 8 homing fireballs that will remove half your life or knock you over so that I can shoot more of that bullshit at you.

you can switch creation of units midmatch in SC, that doesn’t mean unit tiers are useless

You can’t have infinite of the sonic booms, because every time you throw one, i will shoot 8 much faster moving homing ones that will eat yours and dizzy you, and then ill do it again. You have no chance to survive, make your time. 50 dollars a match 10 matches at evo? my ken vs your guile, bet it?
Surely only a Koryu tournament on GGPO can solve these debates.

Yes, the Korean version of SF2:CE involves homing fireballs and allows you to DP out of dizzy. Unfortunately, you also get TB if you play it.
It’s definitely a trade off, but many feel it’s well worth it.

just checked to be certain. you’re talking about MP shoryuken. I wasn’t aware of how much different that was. anyway, MP shoryuken has its weaknesses. you can fight it without getting dizzied for instance.
I’d never money match without being beyond prepared, but if you want we could hold a koryu tournament on GGPO or something
