525 MB out of the 809 MB update is just movies in WMV format.
the actual game patch is 284 MB

i’ll try to get the assets to work with the previous version until they roll out the new one. wish me luck :smiley:

i managed to get v2013 to run with online play:

  1. backup these old files (VERY IMPORTANT)
    SFTK.exe
    SFTK.exe.cfg
    SFTK.exe.cat

  2. install the new patch

  3. copy the backup files back into the game folder and overwrite the newer ones

PS: obviously you can play only with people that have the patch installed this way

because we’re playing with the old executable files combined with the new patch files, i’ve noticed a few changes are not yet present (they are hardcoded in the newer *.exe)

  • throws don’t do grey damage
  • life recovery is still fast (not 1/3 x the speed of 1.06)

however, everything else is in place

  • punishable rolls by throw
  • boost chain nerfs
  • glowing gems are less distracting
  • not being able to move before Fight! message disappears
  • character changes

So now we dont even know who we fighting against online, some have 1.0.7, and others have manually installed v1.0.8. I will wait for v1.0.8 until it is released officially. Until then, if someones interested to see some PC SFxT repleay of ranked matches, i have uploaded
50 videos containing
ranked matches,
current leaderboards of NORTH AMERICA,
ASIA,
EUROPE,
and also my PLAYERDATA.
So you can compare your playerdata with mines, or just watch to get n idea about how it could look like if one spent a lot of time with that game (i have around 2000 online ranked matches).


And of course, you want challenge me, lets fight (online) !

So I installed the patch and got these errors. Then noticed I was signed into GFWL then immediately signed out. I get this error trying to sign in.

Skipping this. When it checks for DLC I get this error. Now loading up the game I no longer have the whole DLC.

I copied the three files and have them in a backup folder. I then ran the setup and when it asked for a folder I directed it to install into the steamapps/common/StreetFighterXTekken folder. The game immediately started up and gave me both errors. I then closed everything and restarted my computer. No change in results. Same errors. Any clues? Did I not do this properly?

1- Install Patch 1.02
2- Install Patch 1.05
3- Install Patch 1.08
4- Install SFXTEKKEN 50 Costumes Patch Pack.
5- Install Colour LUA Fix (Xbox 360 Version) this is a fix from the xbox version and will work ok on PC.
6- Copy Const.lua on patch\cmn\boot\game folder.
7- Copy the new stfk_v2.4@e107.exe inside of the game Installation and Run as Admin.

Don´t be rude and make a backup of the entire game and save first.

I can’t get the dlc characters to work it seems. Any pointers? I have managed to get 2013 working though!

You may try the stuff here. When I followed this the DLC characters get activated with the downside of some 2013 stuff not working such as the Pandora timer and health regeneration being back to 1.06 standards. I may have overlooked something in the instructions, though.

you haven’t… some of the changes are coded in the v2013 executable

and you installed v2013 over v1.06 so you can still play online
